In February 2022, after a year of welcoming visitors at the Germania Club Building in Old Town (Chicago, USA), the renowned "Van Gogh" art experience exhibition will be replaced by a brand new exhibition, this time dedicated to the multi-talented Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.

Similar to the experience of being immersed in the paintings of Van Gogh andMonetHaving created a buzz earlier this year, the "Frida: Immersive Dream" exhibition will also be meticulously invested in terms of lighting, sound, and accompanying visuals, with the aim of helping viewers delve deeper into the life and career of Frida Kahlo.

Famous works by the Mexican artist will be projected through the walls using animation techniques created by Massimiliano Siccardi, an Italian digital artist who also created digital experiences from Van Gogh's works in the previous exhibition.

“Siccardi views Kahlo’s works in a very different way than he used to study Van Gogh’s work,” Corey Ross, producer of Lighthouse Immersive, told Travel + Leisure. “He doesn’t unify all the styles Kahlo used in her work, but instead presents them as a series of chaotic and contradictory movements that ultimately illuminate and highlight each other.”

"We will delve into Frida's world, a world where everything within is constantly in motion," Siccardi said. "We will explore both the tenderness and the hatred in Frida's soul by examining how she observed and imagined things, hoping that the stories of Frida's life can touch the emotions of those who come to experience this exhibition."

The works featured in the exhibition "Frida: Immersive Dream" include: "The Waged Deer"(The injured deer), "The Two Fridas"and"Diego and I"(Diego and I) - this work sold for $34.9 million (nearly 800 billion VND) at a Sotheby's auction, becoming the most expensive artwork by a Latin American artist.

The exhibition “Frida: Immersive Dream” will open at the Germania Club Building (Chicago) on February 24, 2022, and is scheduled to run until May 28, 2022. During this time, the experience of viewing Kahlo's artwork will also be showcased in several other US cities, including Boston, Dallas, Houston, Denver, Toronto, and Los Angeles. Tickets are currently on sale, starting at $39.99 (approximately 1 million VND).
