Drifting amidst glaciers

As one of only two states in the U.S. that doesn't border any other state, much of Alaska is covered in snow and ice year-round. This icy paradise is a constant source of inspiration for tourists because of the mesmerizing beauty of its pristine landscape.

This trip and these photos have been on my wishlist for years. My best friend Jussi Ruottinen and I went to Seward, Alaska and paddled across the ice floes to reach the Seward Helicopters landing site, from where we flew to one of my favorite spots – Bear Glacier.

I've flown over here many times, but never set foot in this place. This time, it's definitely on my to-do list.

What I loved most about this place was Glacier Lagoon, where the ice formations rise up beautifully and we were able to take drone photos from the east (the west side is the most beautiful part, but it's in Kenai Fjords National Park).

On our last day in Alaska, it was raining heavily. We organized a small BBQ party and built a bonfire by the Knik River, a river that originates from the Knik Glacier.
