"Although this idea has been implemented by many before, I focused on leveraging elements that are close and familiar to the local community to ensure everyone has a stable job and income for their families. The goal is to create more job opportunities for the people here, helping to improve their living standards," said Duong Quoc Hieu, owner of Chi Pau Coffee.

The restaurant is surrounded by rice fields.
For the past three years, Mr. Hieu has been trying to introduce the beauty of Ta Van village to the world. And now, he is delighted to have finally found the answer. He wants to create authentic travel experiences, helping visitors better understand the life and culture of the local people. In his opinion, Sa Pa in general, and Ta Van village in particular, deserve to be known more widely.
Unlike the plains, Sa Pa only has one golden rice season a year, which falls between mid-August and the end of September. To fully enjoy this beauty, Mr. Hieu came up with a unique idea: a cafe nestled amidst the terraced rice fields. Located in Pho village, Muong Hoa commune, the cafe is like a painting in the stunning natural landscape.

No matter which angle you look from, you'll see the vast, incredibly beautiful rice fields.
After a winding journey along mountain passes, visitors will enter a completely different space. A small sign for Chi Pâu Coffee appears gently amidst the peaceful scenery. Stepping through the gate, you feel as if you've entered a world of your own. Before you is a spacious courtyard with three charming little houses connected to each other. The last house, where many people gather, is the coffee shop you've been looking for. From here, a breathtaking view unfolds: a vast rice field stretches out, embracing the coffee shop, creating the feeling that you are sitting in the heart of nature. The atmosphere is so quiet that you can clearly hear the rustling of the rice leaves in the wind.
“From the conceptualization stage to implementation, we encountered numerous difficulties. From selecting suitable materials, preserving the landscape and identity of the village, to supporting the surrounding community… there were countless challenges. However, seeing everyone happy, greeting each other, and shaking hands warmly, I felt very happy and fulfilled,” Mr. Hieu said.

The cafe's grounds have many beautiful spots for taking photos and enjoying the view.
The entire space of the cafe is constructed from materials close to nature such as wood, bamboo, and rattan... Instead of using reinforced concrete, the path leading to the cafe is paved with pebbles skillfully arranged by the H'Mông people, creating a very rustic and cozy feeling. With charming little bamboo huts, visitors can comfortably admire the vast rice fields, sip a cup of coffee, and enjoy the fresh air.
The owner of Chi Pâu Coffee shared: “Our coffee shop focuses on harmony with nature and reflects the daily lives of the local people. Here, life is full of joy and laughter, creating a relaxing atmosphere and dispelling all worries and stress from work and daily life.”

The open design also allows visitors to easily enjoy the full beauty of the Sa Pa villages.
Located on a 2,000 m² plot of land.2The cafe offers a spacious and refreshing atmosphere, completely eliminating the need for air conditioning. On weekends, it becomes bustling with around 200-300 customers. From charming little corners perfect for Instagram photos to large tables for groups of friends, the cafe caters to the needs of all types of customers. With its direct view of the village and terraced rice fields, the cafe is not only a place to enjoy coffee but also an ideal destination to relax and enjoy life.
The drink menu at the cafe is quite extensive, ranging from traditional coffees to seasonal fruit smoothies. Prices are very reasonable, ranging from only 40,000 to 60,000 VND.

“In the future, I hope to implement new business models to create more job opportunities for local people. The goal is to develop comprehensively, so that everyone can progress together. Currently, we are expanding our operations, but to stay connected and develop sustainably with the village, I will listen to the community's opinions and strive to find more new ideas,” Mr. Hieu further shared.
