The top 100 best resorts in the world in 2022 include many locations in Southeast Asian countries. Overcoming many strong competitors, Vietnam also made the list with two outstanding hotels: Six Senses Con Dao and Capella Hanoi.
1. Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco, Montalcino, Italy
The top spot on the ranking goes to the Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco hotel in Italy with 99.25 points. Spanning over 2,000 hectares, the hotel is surrounded by vineyards and towering pines. Rooms offer views of the UNESCO World Heritage Val d'Orcia Natural Park and the hilltop town of Montalcino. It also boasts distinctive white architecture and stunning sunrise and sunset views from its cliffside infinity pool.
3. Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi, South Malé Atoll, Maldives
Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi ranked third with 99.11 points. This resort is about a 45-minute boat ride from Malé International Airport. The resort is a summer paradise with crystal-clear waters, private pools, and attentive butler service.
4. Capella Hanoi, Vietnam
Capella Hanoi ranks 18th in the top 100 best hotels in the world with a score of 98.18 out of 100. Located in Hanoi's Old Quarter, the hotel was designed by renowned architect Bill Bensley in the Art Nouveau style. The rooms are not only spacious but also feature eye-catching colors and patterns. 5. Six Senses Con Dao
