Implementing a plan to gradually reopen international flight networks while ensuring pandemic safety, from April to June 2021, Vietnam Airlines operated several one-way routes from Vietnam to Seoul (South Korea), Tokyo (Japan), and Sydney (Australia).
To date, as many countries have implemented widespread COVID-19 vaccination and are gradually experimenting with reopening policies, Vietnam Airlines continues to expand its international flight network and is ready to operate two-way flights on various routes.
Accordingly, Vietnam Airlines plans to resume two routes to Australia, including flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Sydney from July 15th to October 30th, and between Ho Chi Minh City and Melbourne from July 20th to October 30th. The departure schedule for flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Sydney will be Thursdays and Sundays, and the return flights will be Tuesdays and Saturdays; flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Melbourne will be Tuesdays, and the return flights will be Thursdays.
Regarding flights to Europe, Vietnam Airlines is reopening routes between Hanoi and Frankfurt (Germany) and London (UK). Specifically, flights from Hanoi to Frankfurt are scheduled for July 25th, July 28th, and August 21st; and from Hanoi to London on August 13th and September 2nd. Flights in the opposite direction, from Frankfurt to Hanoi, are scheduled to depart on July 26th, July 29th, and August 22nd; and from London to Hanoi on August 14th and September 3rd.
In the Asian region, from July 17th to October 30th, Vietnam Airlines will resume flights between Hanoi and Tokyo (Japan) on Wednesdays and Saturdays. From August 1st to October 30th, the airline will add flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok (Thailand) on Wednesdays; and flights from Tokyo (Japan) to Ho Chi Minh City on Thursdays.

All international flights during this period were operated by Vietnam Airlines using its two most modern wide-body aircraft, the Boeing 787 and Airbus A350, to provide passengers with a comfortable and convenient experience, especially on long-haul routes to Europe and Australia.
To ensure disease safety, Vietnam Airlines will apply Level 2 disease prevention and control measures for flights departing from Vietnam and Level 4 - the highest level in the airline's safety system - for flights arriving from overseas.
