Implementing the plan to gradually reopen the international flight network on the basis of ensuring epidemic safety, from April to June 2021, Vietnam Airlines operated a number of one-way flights from Vietnam to Seoul (South Korea), Tokyo (Japan) and Sydney (Australia).
Up to now, in the context that many countries have implemented large-scale Covid-19 vaccination and are gradually testing open-door policies, Vietnam Airlines continues to expand its international flight network and is ready to operate two-way flights.
Accordingly, Vietnam Airlines plans to resume two flights to Australia, including between Ho Chi Minh City and Sydney from July 15 to October 30, and between Ho Chi Minh City and Melbourne from July 20 to October 30. Flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Sydney depart every Thursday and Sunday, and return flights every Tuesday and Saturday; from Ho Chi Minh City to Melbourne depart every Tuesday and return flights every Thursday.
For flights to Europe, Vietnam Airlines reopened flights between Hanoi and Frankfurt (Germany) and London (UK). Specifically, flights from Hanoi to Frankfurt are scheduled for July 25, July 28 and August 21; from Hanoi to London on August 13 and September 2. Return flights from Frankfurt to Hanoi are scheduled to depart on July 26, July 29 and August 22; from London to Hanoi on August 14 and September 3.
In Asia, from July 17 to October 30, Vietnam Airlines will resume flights between Hanoi and Tokyo (Japan) every Wednesday and Saturday. From August 1 to October 30, the airline will open an additional flight between Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok (Thailand) every Wednesday; and flights from Tokyo (Japan) to Ho Chi Minh City every Thursday.

All international flights during this period are operated by Vietnam Airlines with the airline's two most modern wide-body aircraft, the Boeing 787 and Airbus A350, to bring a comfortable and convenient experience to passengers, especially on long-haul flights to Europe and Australia.
To ensure epidemic safety, Vietnam Airlines will apply level 2 epidemic prevention and control measures for flights departing from Vietnam and level 4 - the highest level in the airline's safety system - for flights from abroad.
