According to the plan, the Hai Phong - Bangkok route will operate round-trip flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays starting from the inaugural flight on November 9, 2016, with a flight time of just over 1 hour and 30 minutes per leg. The Hai Phong - Seoul route will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays starting from December 12, 2016; the flight time for each leg will be just over 4 hours.

From November 9th, 2016, Vietravel officially launched direct flights from Hai Phong to Thailand, the "Land of Smiles," targeting the fascinating capital Bangkok with its palaces, temples, unique culture, bustling shopping centers, and diverse culinary world; and Pattaya, a sun-drenched seaside city famous worldwide for its vibrant entertainment and sports activities, making it one of the most attractive destinations in Southeast Asia. This includes spectacular Tiffany & Colosseum-style music and dance performances by transgender artists. Simultaneously, Vietravel also launched new direct flight packages from Hai Phong to Phuket and Hai Phong to Chiang Mai. This is the sixth direct flight to Thailand from Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Nha Trang, Da Nang, Hue, and Vinh, which Vietravel has focused on operating through charter flights.
Seoul, South Korea
According to the plan, from December 12, 2016, Vietravel will officially launch direct flights from Hai Phong to South Korea, specifically to Seoul – the sleepless city where ancient traditions and modern life coexist harmoniously after more than 600 years of history. Here, ancient palaces are nestled among skyscrapers, the landscapes are picturesque, and the city's residents boast diverse fashion styles, cuisine, and lifestyles. With 70% of its area covered by mountains and three sides bordered by the sea, South Korea attracts a large number of tourists thanks to its many beautiful natural landscapes that change throughout the year with four distinct seasons; throughout its cities are historical sites preserving nearly 5,000 years of history. Prior to this, Vietravel also successfully organized charter flights from Da Nang to South Korea.
Furthermore, statistics for the first nine months of the year show that, compared to the same period last year, the number of international tourists to Vietnam increased by 25.7% (estimated at 7,265,380), with the number of tourists using air travel increasing by 29.7%. Tourists from Thailand increased by 34.1%, and from South Korea by 39.9%; ranking 3rd and 4th respectively in the top 5 international tourist markets to Vietnam. This indicates positive market signals, and the development of air travel tourism products between Vietnam and international destinations with routes to Hai Phong, as well as Thailand and South Korea, is essential to promote tourism products in the three localities and facilitate trade cooperation, especially with many large South Korean corporations investing in Hai Phong.
