Only about 2 hours drive from Ho Chi Minh City, Vung Tau takes the top spot in the list of most favorite domestic destinations, with a variety of transportation such as buses, limousines and hydrofoils, promising to create a fun atmosphere here during the September 2nd holiday this year.
This coastal city with 42 km of coastline has many beautiful beaches, including Big Mountain (Tuong Ky Mountain) which is 245 m high and Small Mountain (Tao Phung Mountain) which is 170 m high. On Small Mountain, there is an 18 m high lighthouse, which shines up to 30 nautical miles and is over 100 years old, considered the oldest lighthouse in Vietnam. On Big Mountain, there is May Lake, a large freshwater lake and a primeval forest. These scenic spots of Vung Tau have attracted Vietnamese tourists to relax during the 2019 Independence Day.
In Agoda's list, many coastal cities are chosen by tourists. Da Nang ranked 2nd and its "neighbor" Hoi An ranked 7th, promising a bustling holiday season in the central coastal region. The routes with the most seats are between Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Hue, Da Nang, Quy Nhon, Nha Trang, Da Lat, Phu Quoc.
