Vung Tau pilots reopening 4 tourist spots in "green zones"

From September 15, traditional markets, restaurants, and some hotels will be allowed to reopen in four "green zone" districts of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, including Chau Duc, Dat Do, Xuyen Moc, and Con Dao.

On September 12, Mr. Le Ngoc Khanh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, signed an official dispatch allowing a number of production, business and service activities in the districts applying Directive 15, including Chau Duc, Dat Do, Xuyen Moc and Con Dao, to resume operations from September 15 to October 30.

For tourism activities in the above 4 districts, the province has piloted hotels that are allowed to welcome domestic guests, including: The Grand Ho Tram Strip complex, Meliá Ho Tram Beach Resort, Binh Chau hot spring resort (all in Xuyen Moc district) and Six Senses Con Dao resort (Con Dao district).

Accordingly, participating hotels must have a closed service, a delivery area, a separate quarantine area... Service staff must be fully vaccinated with 2 doses of vaccine or 1 dose at least 14 days before starting work. In addition, staff must have a negative Covid-19 test by RT-PCR within 72 hours (repeated test every 72 hours); ensure the "3 on-site" regulation, commit to working continuously in the hotel; be trained in regulations on Covid-19 epidemic prevention.

For visitors, before arriving at the hotel, they must have a negative Covid-19 test result within 24 hours; must have received 2 doses of vaccine, the last dose must be at least 14 days but not more than 12 months. Each guest must be tested periodically during their stay at the hotel. For guests staying 1 week, RT-PCR test on the first day and 6th day. For guests staying 2 weeks, RT-PCR test on the first day, 6th day and 13th day.

At the hotel, guests are not allowed to leave the premises, strictly follow the hotel and local epidemic prevention regulations, and do not share rooms with guests from other groups. In addition, guests must book and deposit in advance with the hotel.

Travelers are transported by private vehicles from pick-up locations in other provinces and cities to the hotel (in a closed process). During the entire journey, passengers must wear masks and use hand sanitizer provided on the vehicle.

According to the document, supermarkets, shopping malls, and retail chains in the four "green zone" districts are allowed to reopen. Traditional markets are also allowed to operate, but only sell essential goods. Restaurants and food establishments are only allowed to sell take-out, not on-site service. At the same time, construction projects are allowed to resume. Unfinished residential houses are allowed to continue to be completed with less than 10 workers.
