The groundbreaking ceremony for the Hanoi Flag Tower at Ca Mau Cape was held in January 2016 in Dat Mui Commune (Ngoc Hien District, Ca Mau Province), the southernmost point of the country.
The Hanoi Flagpole at Ca Mau Cape is modeled after the flagpole architecture in Hanoi Capital, solidly built, including 3 floors of base and the body of the flagpole. The total height of the structure including the flagpole is more than 41 m, from the top of the flagpole you can see the mangrove forest and the East Sea.
The flagpole began construction in January 2016 with funding from Hanoi City. It is expected to open in December 2019.
The project has an area for festival performances, a ladder leading up to the flagpole to serve tourists, an area for displaying artifacts and historical documents... This project was implemented with a budget of nearly 140 billion VND.
The Hanoi flagpole at Ca Mau cape, once put into use, will contribute to creating more highlights, attracting tourists to the southernmost point of the country.
