STOP BRINGING VIETNAMESE CITIZENS FROM OTHER COUNTRIES TO NOI BAI AIRPORT

Due to the current overload of quarantine facilities in Hanoi, which are no longer able to accommodate more people, the Ministry of Transport on March 26th directed the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to notify all airlines to temporarily suspend the transportation of Vietnamese citizens on international flights to Noi Bai International Airport. This measure is in effect from March 26th, 2020 to March 31st, 2020.

Previously, due to the quarantine facilities in Ho Chi Minh City no longer being able to accommodate more people, the Ministry of Transport also requested the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to notify all airlines to stop transporting Vietnamese citizens from abroad to Tan Son Nhat International Airport (from March 25th to March 31st).

HANOI TEMPORARILY CLOSES NON-ESSENTIAL SERVICES

In accordance with Notice No. 122/TB-VPCP dated March 24, 2020, from the Government Office, and based on the actual situation of the Covid-19 epidemic in Hanoi, the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, Nguyen Duc Chung, signed an urgent document sent to relevant units. In this document, the city requested the temporary closure of non-essential service businesses such as karaoke parlors, massage parlors, bars, nightclubs, electronic game centers, cinemas, stadiums, and sports venues with large crowds... to minimize large gatherings, except for businesses providing essential goods and services such as food, fuel, and daily necessities.

At the same time, minimize large gatherings at funerals, weddings, anniversaries, birthday parties, and other large social events; encourage people to stay at home, work, and study online through information technology and television... Religious and worship establishments should not organize activities that involve large gatherings...

Italy is nearing the peak of the pandemic.

Ranieri Guera, Deputy Director of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Italy, said that the Covid-19 outbreak in the country could peak this week, after which it will gradually decline.

Speaking on Radio Capital, Guera said that this week and the following days will be decisive, as that will be the time when the Italian government's measures to prevent the spread of the disease, implemented over the past 15-20 days, will take effect. If effective, the Covid-19 epidemic will decline sharply in the next 5-6 days.

According to Mr. Guera, the decline in the number of new positive cases of the novel coronavirus in Italy is a very positive sign, and some regions are nearing the bottom of the epidemic curve.

Spain's death toll surpasses China's.

Spain has surpassed China in the number of Covid-19 deaths after reporting 738 more deaths on March 25, bringing the total to 3,434. China has had 3,281 deaths since the novel coronavirus outbreak began late last year. To date, globally, only Italy has a higher death toll than Spain, with 7,503 cases.

Spanish Deputy Prime Minister tests positive for COVID-19.

Spanish Deputy Prime Minister Carmen Calvo, 63, tested positive for the novel coronavirus after being hospitalized on March 22.

According to a statement from the Spanish government on March 25, Ms. Calvo initially tested negative for the novel coronavirus; however, a second test on March 24 showed she had contracted the virus. The Spanish Deputy Prime Minister is in stable condition and is receiving treatment.

Several Spanish officials have contracted the coronavirus, including Minister for Equality Irene Montero. Begona Gomez, the wife of the Spanish Prime Minister, has also tested positive for the virus.

Prince Charles of the British Royal Family has tested positive for COVID-19.

A Clarence House spokesperson said: "The Prince has tested positive for the novel coronavirus. He has experienced mild symptoms but remains in good health and has been working from home as usual over the past few days."

According to a Clarence House spokesperson, the wife of the British Prince, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, has also self-isolated at her home in Scotland.

"It is still unclear who the Prince contracted the virus from, as he has been attending numerous events in his official capacity in recent weeks," Clarence House announced.

Over half a million Britons volunteer to fight the pandemic.

According to Sky News, more than half a million Britons have signed up to volunteer to support the National Health Service (NHS), double the initial target set by the UK government, in a campaign launched on March 24.

London City Airport has suspended all flights from March 25th until the end of April due to Covid-19.

Russia postpones referendum.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced the postponement of the nationwide referendum on constitutional amendments due to the widespread COVID-19 pandemic in the country. Putin stated that the Russian government will assess the situation to determine a suitable date for the referendum.

According to previous plans, a referendum on constitutional amendments will be held in Russia on April 22nd. To date, Russia has recorded 658 cases of the disease and 1 death.
