Vietjet Air is included in the list of the top 10 safest low-cost airlines in the world for 2022, as announced by AirlineRatings.com.

The top 20 safest airlines in the world and the top 10 safest low-cost airlines in the world, as published by AirlineRatings.com, are based on the results of monitoring 385 airlines globally. Criteria considered include: airline incidents over more than five years and a record of serious incidents over more than two years; audits from aviation and industry regulators; government audits; industry-leading safety initiatives; fleet age; and COVID-19 safety procedures.

Air New Zealand has been chosen as the safest airline in the world. The top 20 safest airlines in the world are those that are always at the forefront of safety innovation and launching new aircraft, including: Air New Zealand, Etihad Airways, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, TAP Air Portugal, SAS, Qantas, Alaska Airlines, EVA Air, Virgin Australia/Atlantic, Cathay Pacific Airways, Hawaiian Airlines, American Airlines, Lufthansa/Swiss Group, Finnair, Air France/KLM Group, British Airways, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, and Emirates.
