10 things tourists forget most when traveling

Phone chargers, cameras and passports are things many tourists forget when traveling.

A British home goods company conducted a survey of shoppers asking: What do you forget most when traveling abroad? One in 10 British people who travel abroad will forget their passport. This figure is 13% for men while only 6% of women forget to bring this important item. Many people when asked said they did not remember where they put their plane tickets and hotel reservation details before going to the airport.

The average Brit spends almost £200 on shopping before going on holiday. They even visit three or four stores to buy the essentials. But more than half admit they still miss something for their holiday.

Despite careful preparation, many tourists still forget some items when traveling.

When it comes to essential items in your luggage, 46% of men say they can’t leave the house without sunglasses. 67% of women say the one thing they can’t do without on a sunny holiday is sunscreen.

Underwear is the second most important item for both sexes when traveling, with 44% of men and 66% of women considering it. Coming in third place for men is swimwear and for women is shoes. However, these are the items they forget to bring the most.

According to the same statistics, 63% of women buy gifts for relatives and friends when traveling. This also partly explains why 3/4 of British women feel more stressed than men when traveling.
