1. Philae Temple

Located on the island of Agikia, near the town of Aswan in southern Egypt, the Philae Temple is one of the best-preserved ancient architectural structures in the mystical country of Egypt.

The temple was originally built on Philae Island, but was later moved to Agikia due to the construction of a seawall by the islanders.

In Philae, you'll have the opportunity to admire large sculptures and hieroglyphic reliefs dating back to 300 BC. Additionally, visitors can explore other ancient temples on the island such as Isis and Trajan's Kiosk.

2. Medinet Habu

The ancient town of Luxor in central eastern Egypt is famous for attracting tourists with its many ancient sites, including the village of Medinet Habu with its renowned temple of the same name.

Medinet Habu is actually the tomb of the great king of the 20th Dynasty of Egypt – Pharaoh Ramesses III (reigned 1186 BC – 1155 BC).

3. Karnak Temple

4. Abu Simbel

6. Edfu

This temple, measuring 80 meters long and 36 meters wide, is located on the west bank of the Nile River in the ancient town of Edfu. Carvings of the falcon god – an important religious deity of the Egyptians and also the "master" worshipped here – adorn the high, wide walls of Edfu.

7. Memnon

A few blocks from the Medinet Habu temple in the old town of Luxor, you'll be surprised and overwhelmed by the two colossal seated Memnons located on the road leading into the Valley of the Kings on the west bank of the Nile. These two 20-meter-tall statues stand out against the blue sky of the hot desert.

8. Seti I Temple

Seti I is the temple dedicated to the second king of the 19th Dynasty in Egypt - Pharaoh Seti I (reigned 1291 BC – 1278 BC).

Located on the west bank of the Nile River in Abydos, this temple houses a chronological list of the reigns of Egyptian kings. Upon entering, visitors can admire the two Sphinx statues at the main entrance, along with numerous other well-preserved reliefs and sculptures.

9. Hatshepsut

The Temple of Hatshepsut is also near the ancient town of Luxor and is located right next to the Valley of the Kings. Its position nestled against a large mountain range on the west bank of the Nile River makes it unique among the list of sacred temples in Egypt.

Hatshepsut is a temple dedicated to the Egyptian sun god Amon-Ra, designed by Senemut, the royal architect of Hatshepsut. Here, you can both explore the entire temple complex by climbing the mountain and learn about the mysterious historical significance of ancient Egypt.

10. Luxor Temple
