19 domestic flights reopened from October 10

Among the 19 domestic routes reopened from October 10, there is the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City route. At the same time, as soon as the Ministry of Transport issued the flight plan, airlines made transportation plans and started selling tickets until October 20.

Specifically, the pilot phase exploitation plan includes 19 round-trip flights (38 flights per day):

Flights from Ho Chi Minh City to/from Binh Dinh, Da Nang, Hue, Khanh Hoa, Nghe An, Phu Yen, Quang Binh, Quang Nam, Thanh Hoa, Hai Phong, Phu Yen have a frequency of one round trip per day.

Flights between Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City/Da Nang; Da Nang - Can Tho/Dak Lak; Thanh Hoa - Lam Dong; Ho Chi Minh City - Gia Lai, Rach (Kien Giang) are also allowed to operate one round trip per day per leg. In particular, the Hanoi - Can Tho route will be operated flexibly according to the epidemic situation.

According to the guidance of the Ministry of Transport, passengers must have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (Green card on the Electronic Health Book/PC-COVID or a certificate of full vaccination issued by a competent authority, the last dose was injected at least 14 days ago) or have recovered from Covid-19 within 6 months from the time of returning to the locality (with a hospital discharge certificate/certificate of recovery from Covid-19); have a negative Covid-19 test result using the RT-PCR method or rapid antigen test within 72 hours before boarding the plane.

Passengers must declare their health and complete a commitment to prevent the epidemic; they are not allowed to board the plane if they have symptoms of cough, fever, difficulty breathing, muscle aches, sore throat, etc.

After the flight, when returning to their place of residence, passengers must not come into contact with crowded places; self-monitor their health or quarantine at their place of residence, staying for at least 7 days (according to specific regulations of each locality). In particular, people from epidemic areas must be tested on the 2nd day from returning to their place of residence. The Ministry of Transport also requires localities to manage and monitor people returning to their localities, not allowing the disease to spread to the community...

Airlines schedule flights to return

As soon as the Ministry of Transport issued the flight plan, airlines made transportation plans and started selling tickets until October 20.

Vietnam Airlines14 two-way flights will resume, including Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang; between Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong, Thanh Hoa, Quy Nhon, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Dong Hoi, Cam Ranh, Tuy Hoa, Phu Quoc; between Thanh Hoa and Da Lat.

Accordingly, the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City route has one round trip flight per day, departing at 1:00 p.m. and the return flight at 4:00 p.m. This is the only airline operating flights between these two major cities.

The remaining routes will have 5 flights per route, operating from October 10-20. In total, 152 Vietnam Airlines flights will take off during this period.

From October 10-20,Vietjet Airreopened 15 routes to welcome passengers. Specifically, reopened routes from Ho Chi Minh City to Hai Phong, Da Nang, Quy Nhon, Vinh, Thanh Hoa, Chu Lai, Hue, Dong Hoi, Tuy Hoa, Phu Quoc, Nha Trang; Hanoi - Da Nang; Da Nang - Can Tho; Thanh Hoa - Can Tho and Thanh Hoa - Nha Trang.

Vietjet's first two flights in this return will depart from Ho Chi Minh City to Hai Phong at 7:45 a.m. and Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang at 1 p.m. on October 10.

During the 11-day pilot period, the Ministry of Transport will evaluate and synthesize the situation, and propose to the Government to supplement and adjust the exploitation plan to suit the actual situation in the next phase.
