Two Vietnamese tourist ports have been nominated for the "World Tourism Oscars".

Accordingly, Vietnam has been nominated for the 2023 World Travel Awards (WTA) in several important categories such as: Leading Destination in Asia; Leading Heritage Destination in Asia; Leading Beach Destination in Asia; Leading Cultural Destination in Asia; Leading Nature Destination in Asia; Leading Sustainable Destination in Asia; and Leading Youth Destination in Asia.

In addition, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism was also voted one of the leading national tourism development agencies in Asia.

In the category of leading tourist destinations in Asia in 2023, Vietnam's Ha Long Bay is being nominated, alongside other famous destinations such as Angkor Wat - Cambodia, Taj Mahal - India, and the Great Wall of China…

In the list of leading cruise ports in Asia, there are two nominees from Vietnam: Ha Long International Cruise Port in Quang Ninh and Phu My Port in Ba Ria - Vung Tau.

Ho Chi Minh City was nominated by the WTA as one of the top 8 business travel destinations in Asia, alongside Bangkok - Thailand, Beijing - China, Kyoto - Japan, Singapore… In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism was also ranked among the top 4 leading tourism development committees in Asia.

Two of Vietnam's most famous tourist destinations, Hoi An and Hue, have been named among the top six cultural tourism destinations in Asia.

In addition, many tourist destinations that have made Vietnam famous were also recognized by the WTA in various categories. The list of leading emerging tourist destinations in Asia included Ha Giang, a candidate from Vietnam. Moc Chau was included in the list of leading regional nature destinations in Asia.
