1. The Quintessence of Tokin
The Quintessence of Northern Vietnam is the name of a live performance inspired by the story of Zen Master Tu Dao Hanh and the history of Thầy Pagoda – one of the famous spiritual tourist destinations in the Hanoi area. First premiered in mid-2016, The Quintessence of Northern Vietnam continues to attract art lovers both domestically and internationally, with monthly rotating performances.

This is a meticulously crafted, elaborate, and unique artistic production by director Hoang Nhat Nam. Viewers are completely captivated not only by the sophisticated effects and compelling content, but also by the expansive stage space of over 3,000 square meters, featuring a 10-ton pavilion slowly emerging from the lake's surface from a depth of 10 meters, creating a powerful impression throughout the performance. Even more remarkably, all hundreds of performers in this live-action show are residents of Sai Son commune, Quoc Oai district, not professional dancers!
The Guinness World Records Vietnam organization awarded the "Quintessence of Northern Vietnam" live performance two records on August 2, 2018: the show with the largest water stage in Vietnam and the show with the largest number of farmer actors in Vietnam.

The Quintessence of Northern Vietnam is owned by Tuan Chau Baara Land Group - a leading entertainment, recreation, dining, and resort complex in Northern Vietnam.
At Travel Fest 2019, Baara Land Group will be giving away 20 tickets to the Quintessence of Northern Vietnam show, worth a total of 14,850,000 VND, to the first 20 attendees during the three days of the event.
Tickets distributed free of charge at the event are valid for 6 months from the date of issue.
2. À Ố Show
À Ố Show is one of the highest-quality art performances in Vietnam today! Touring the world since 2015, À Ố Show has captivated audiences across four continents and nearly 20 countries, as well as many art lovers in Vietnam, with three performance venues: Ho Chi Minh City, Hoi An, and Hanoi.
À Ố Show is performed regularly at theaters across three cities.
À Ố Show is an art performance program in which the most authentic images of Vietnamese culture and people are conveyed fully and profoundly throughout an hour, from the peaceful countryside with its plants, the sounds of frogs, insects, chickens, and ducks, and activities such as farming and fishing, to the bustling city, and even the daily changes in the land where they were born and the impact of those changes on their lives.
The À Ố bamboo circus is a rustic harmony of the Vietnamese countryside, blended and interwoven with the lively, youthful, and very real-life chords of Vietnam in the era of urbanization.
In this special performance, viewers will enjoy a fascinating contrast between the peaceful rhythm of the village ("À") and the bustling city ("Ố"). The blend of various art forms in one performance (bamboo circus, acrobatics, and contemporary dance) vividly portrays stories and colors encountered in life, from urban to rural areas. In addition, the audience will be immersed in a colorful musical feast with a special soundtrack composed and performed live by over 17 impressive traditional and modern musical instruments.
The actors' movements are seamlessly and perfectly synchronized. All the acting, dancing, martial arts, circus, and acrobatic skills are skillfully and subtly blended, delivering ultimate satisfaction.
À Ố Show is owned by Lune Production Company and directed by Tuan Le - a talented international-class juggler, choreographer, and director who has spent many years training abroad.
3. My Village
My Village is another production from Lune Production Company. Having toured Europe and Hong Kong with over 300 performances since 2009, and also performing at the APEC CEO Summit 2017, My Village has made a particularly strong impression on audiences by using bamboo as the main prop and core element of the performance, aiming to depict a typical and poetic picture of a Northern Vietnamese village.
My Village brings together 20 skilled circus artists and professional musicians from the capital city, showcasing the vibrant sounds of unique traditional instruments such as the mouth harp, trumpet, two-stringed fiddle, and traditional Vietnamese drums.
Bamboo was used in the play because of its close connection to the daily life of a rural village – the theme of the play "My Village." It depicts the beginning of a new day with the crowing of roosters, children playing with bamboo chopsticks while their parents work in the fields, farmers smoking tobacco with bamboo pipes during breaks under the shade of trees in the scorching midday summer sun, and lovers spending their evenings on bamboo bridges under the light of thousands of stars.
Bamboo is the soul of the performance; its dynamic movement, combined with juggling, contortion, acrobatics, and balancing acts, makes the show visually stunning and incredibly spectacular.
The image of the bamboo tree is the soul of My Village; in the hands of the artist, bamboo transforms endlessly, sometimes like peaceful rivers and streams, other times like rugged mountains and fierce battles... vividly recreating the memories of old Vietnamese villages.
In July 2016, "My Village" was exclusively performed at the Hanoi Opera House and expanded to a second venue in 2017 at the Vietnam National Opera House - the cradle of Vietnamese traditional art, with rotating monthly performances.
4. Palao
Launched on November 9, 2018, Palao is a special performance in Lune Production's "art collection," with exclusive screenings only in Hoi An Ancient Town.
Humanistic and symbiotic values are the core spirit of Palao.
Infusing youthful spirit into ancient melodies, Palao distills the essence of Cham culture, incorporating it into dance and music in a minimalist yet impressive way, and showcasing it all within the contemporary stage space of the bamboo-clad Lune Theatre in the heart of Hoi An.
The dance performance, imbued with Cham culture and spirit, is expressed through contemporary artistic language with 20 artists dancing, singing, and playing traditional Cham musical instruments.
The Palao dance performance is likened to a poem written in movement and emotion, as stories of the Cham people are told through the powerful body movements of the dancers against the pristine white backdrop of costumes and stage props – symbolizing water, the universe, and purification. In addition, the music is also an impressive breakthrough, boldly blending traditional Cham instruments with electronic music and powerful vocals.
5. Teh Dar
Teh Dar can be considered a different version of À Ố Show, but it vividly portrays the lifestyles and culture of the Central Highlands. The performance is imbued with the essence of the sun-drenched, windswept highlands, as the dancers powerfully embody the wild, vibrant, and enchanting stories of the Central Highlands, both in its natural setting and its cultural life.

The Central Highlands are also famous for their distinctive musical instruments such as gongs, horns, drums, flutes, and goong instruments, which express the resonant and enchanting sounds of the vast mountain forests.
Teh Dar is presented on a contemporary stage, transporting the audience into the mystical world of elephant hunts, moonlit rendezvous, and ancient forests concealing death and rebirth.
The performance captivates the audience with its bamboo circus techniques and daring acrobatics – one of Lune Production's signature artistic expressions – along with the enchanting sounds of traditional Vietnamese musical instruments. And, much like the philosophy behind the name Teh Dar, which in the K'ho language means "going in a circle," the performance continues Lune Production's mission of conveying Vietnamese cultural values in the ever-changing world.
Teh Dar began touring in Europe in November 2018.
At Travel Fest 2019, Lune Production will be giving away thousands of free tickets to the À Ố Show, Làng Tôi, Palao, and Teh Dar performances, with various ticket price categories based on location (AAH and OOH) at venues spread across the three cities.
Tickets distributed free of charge at the event are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
