3 Melia hotels in Vietnam receive TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence

18/06/2019

Meliá Hanoi, Meliá Danang Beach Resort and Meliá Ba Vi Mountain Retreat of Meliá Hotels & Resorts were awarded the 2019 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence at the end of May.

TripAdvisor is the world's leading travel review site. The Certificate of Excellence is awarded to hotels that maintain an overall TripAdvisor rating of at least 4 out of 5 and consistently deliver excellent guest experiences. The US-based travel site awards the certificate to only about 10% of its properties each year. The Certificate of Excellence is awarded based on performance through reviews and real-life experiences from travelers, not through an application or registration process.

This is the first time Meliá Danang Beach Resort has received this certification. With 264 rooms, 4 restaurants, an infinity pool, YHI Spa and a modern fitness center, the resort won the Most Wanted award from Hotels.com and the customer review award from Agoda last year.

Opened to guests since 2018, Meliá Ba Vì Mountain Retreat has also been awarded this prestigious certificate for the first time. Nestled under the green shade of Ba Vì mountain, the resort has 55 rooms, 12 bungalows and 3 villas. Last year, Meliá Ba Vì Mountain Retreat was also honored to receive the Best Annual Overseas Hotel award from China's Voyage magazine.

Meliá Hanoi also received the Certificate of Excellence in 2019. Earlier this year, the hotel was honored with the 'Top 25 Luxury Hotels - Vietnam - TripAdvisor Travelers' Choice Award 2019' voted by travelers. Opened in 1999, the hotel has 306 rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, and a modern meeting and conference center. Notably, Meliá Hanoi is the oldest hotel under the Meliá brand in Vietnam.

This year has been a big year for Meliá Hotels International. A total of 185 Meliá hotels worldwide have received the Certificate of Excellence. The Group has recently undertaken a project to transform its customer-facing operations, improve the digital experience, and personalize the entire customer journey. With the new Omnichannel Experience Contact Center, customers will receive faster and more efficient service, which will also have a positive impact on guest satisfaction.

Together with Reviewpro, Meliá also uses the latest technology to track and measure hotel reputations on the most important review sites.

Vietnam is an important market with a special strategic position for Meliá Hotels International in the Asia-Pacific region. In addition to Meliá Ho Tram Beach Resort, which opened in April this year, the group will soon launch Meliá Ninh Binh, Meliá Hoi An, Meliá Saigon Central, Meliá Cam Ranh Bay and Meliá Phu Quoc in the coming years.
