Three Melia hotels in Vietnam have received TripAdvisor's Certificate of Excellence.

18/06/2019

Meliá Hanoi, Meliá Da Nang Beach Resort, and Meliá Ba Vi Mountain Retreat, all part of the Meliá Hotels & Resorts group, were recently awarded the 2019 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence by TripAdvisor at the end of May.

TripAdvisor is a leading and reputable travel review website. The Certificate of Excellence is awarded only to hotels that maintain a minimum overall rating of 4 out of 5 on TripAdvisor and consistently deliver outstanding guest experiences. Each year, this US-based travel site awards the certificate to only about 10% of all businesses on its system. The Certificate of Excellence is awarded based on merit earned through traveler reviews and experiences, not through an application or registration process.

This is the first time Meliá Da Nang Beach Resort has received this certification. With 264 rooms, 4 restaurants, an infinity pool, YHI Spa, and a state-of-the-art fitness center, the resort won the Most Wanted award from Hotels.com and the Agoda customer review award last year.

Opened in 2018, Meliá Ba Vì Mountain Retreat has also been awarded this prestigious certificate for the first time. Nestled amidst the lush greenery of the Ba Vì mountains, the resort boasts 55 rooms, 12 bungalows, and 3 villas. Last year, Meliá Ba Vì Mountain Retreat was also honored with the Best Annual Overseas Hotel award from Voyage magazine in China.

Meliá Hanoi also received the Certificate of Service Excellence in 2019. Earlier this year, the hotel was honored with the "Top 25 Luxury Hotels - Vietnam" award (TripAdvisor Travelers' Choice Award 2019) as voted by travelers. Opened in 1999, the hotel has 306 rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, and a modern meeting and conference center. Notably, Meliá Hanoi is the oldest Meliá-branded hotel in Vietnam.

This year has been a triumphant one for Meliá Hotels International. A total of 185 Meliá hotels worldwide have received the Certificate of Service Excellence. Recently, the Group undertook a project to transform its customer-related operational systems, improving the digital experience and personalizing the entire customer journey. With the new multi-channel Experience Contact Center, customers will receive faster and more efficient service, which will also positively impact customer satisfaction.

Along with Reviewpro, Meliá also uses the latest technology to track and measure the reputation of hotels on the most important review websites.

Vietnam is a crucial market with a particularly strategic position for Meliá Hotels International in the Asia-Pacific region. In addition to the Meliá Ho Tram Beach Resort, which opened in April this year, the group will soon launch Meliá Ninh Binh, Meliá Hoi An, Meliá Saigon Central, Meliá Cam Ranh Bay, and Meliá Phu Quoc in the coming years.
