Flowing through Budapest is the beautiful Danube River, especially vibrant at night thanks to its beautifully illuminated bridges, lively bars, and cozy restaurants. On the west bank of the river lies the Old Town, home to the Grand Palace and the colorful Matthias Church. Both are historically significant and well worth a visit.

Sintra is a resort town near the capital Lisbon, home to unique castles, including the Pena National Palace. Pena Palace is one of Portugal's most attractive landmarks and a colorful example of Romantic architecture.
