1. A large scarf

Buses can be chilly, and a blanket can be bulky and take up space in your bag, so a scarf is the perfect way to keep you warm on the trip.
You can also use a scarf to shield your eyes from the glare coming through the car window. Additionally, scarves can be used to wrap your hair or drape over your shoulders for privacy when visiting a religious site.
2. A reusable water bottle

Keeping yourself hydrated is important, especially when you are on a long bus trip, you don’t know if you will have the opportunity to buy water along the way (if the bus does not provide water for passengers), so bringing your own water bottle is essential. In addition, at some destinations, the use of plastic bottles is banned, you should use bottles made from reusable materials.
3. Mobile WiFi

Traveling is a chance to disconnect and enjoy the natural surroundings. But you should still bring a WiFi router because in many cases, those long bus rides are the time to plan your next destination.
Although many bus companies now offer free WiFi, the access speed is often unstable, you should still bring your own portable WiFi router to ensure that you have Internet access whenever needed.
4. Books, Movies and Music

Not all buses have entertainment, so be prepared: headphones, books, ebooks, and offline playlists. Spotify and Netflix both have a cool feature that allows users to download music/movies to their devices, which is useful for long trips. Most importantly: don’t forget to bring a portable charger, in case your bus doesn’t have an outlet.
5. A travel pillow

There are countless different types of travel pillows. Some are simply stuffed pillows, others are inflatable pillows, and others incorporate storage functions, allowing you to have the quietest and most comfortable trip.
6. Snacks

Most bus trips will have at least one stop, but you may not be hungry by then, so it is a good idea to bring some snacks. You can also bring some ginger to prevent motion sickness and boost your immune system.
