Spend money to buy bottled water.
Simply tell the waiter the phrase "carafe d'eau" (a pitcher of water, a bottle of water) and you'll immediately receive a free drink.
In Paris, nobody has to pay extra just for drinking water. If you don't drink in a restaurant, you can drink directly from the tap, and save your Euros to buy more valuable things.
In Paris, you shouldn't spend money on bottled water.

Visiting too many places
Many people think, "I might never have the chance to return to Paris again," so they try to make the most of their time visiting all the famous landmarks in the City of Lights. However, if you visit too many places in a short time, you won't have enough time to fully enjoy the unique features of each place you visit. This will give you a superficial feeling and you won't have a lasting impression of Paris.
You could visit other, less-visited palaces like Chantilly instead of Versailles.

Visit the Palace of Versailles
Many people would doubt the advice to avoid visiting the Palace of Versailles on their first trip to France. According to locals, if you're visiting France for the first time and only have a few days in Paris, you can decide whether or not to visit Versailles. However, if you go during peak seasons (summer, spring), it's usually packed with visitors. You'll likely spend hours queuing to enter the palace before jostling with crowds for a few seconds to catch a glimpse of Marie Antoinette's bed.
Tip
In some establishments, the tip is already included in the bill. So you won't need to tip the server extra.
Breakfast at the hotel
Many tourists consider breakfast at hotels a huge waste of money, and the food isn't even guaranteed to be good. You could go to a bakery, sip a cup of coffee with a delicious croissant, and sit and admire the glamorous streets of Paris for just a few Euros.
Be patient while queuing.
With the increasing number of tourists visiting Paris, queuing for hours to enter a popular attraction is no longer uncommon. However, if you know the off-peak times at certain places and visit during those times, you can save a considerable amount of time and energy by avoiding long waits.
In Paris, queuing for hours to enter tourist attractions is nothing new.

Not in the city center
Many tourists often think they should stay in areas further from the city center to save money. However, hotel prices in France don't differ much, while you'll have to spend more time traveling if you stay in the suburbs.
