Approximately 72,000 tourists are expected to visit Da Lat from January 29th to February 6th (the 6th day of the lunar calendar), with the peak period from February 3rd to 4th (the 3rd and 4th days of the lunar calendar), including an estimated 900 foreign visitors. Although this represents a 20% decrease compared to the Lunar New Year holiday in 2020, it is a 71% increase compared to the same period last year.
According to a survey by the Da Lat City Department of Culture and Information, hotel occupancy rates during Tet were quite high but still sufficient to meet the needs of tourists.

Mr. Le Anh Kiet, Head of the Culture and Information Department of Da Lat City, said that tourists are still hesitant due to the Covid-19 pandemic, so the number of tour buses will decrease. The number of group bookings from travel agencies is also not high. Tourists tend to travel in small groups of family and friends or book all-inclusive tour packages.
Since mid-January, many accommodations in Da Lat have been fully booked by tourists, with peak periods from the 3rd to the 6th day of Tet (Lunar New Year). The Tet atmosphere in Da Lat is starting to become lively again, with bars and night markets reopening from January 29th after a long period of temporary closure to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
