Tam Dao is recognized as a National Tourist Area.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just issued Decision No. 170/QD-BVHTTDL on recognizing Tam Dao National Tourist Area, Vinh Phuc Province. This is an opportunity for Tam Dao to become a unique and leading destination of Vinh Phuc Province, at the same time making tourism a spearhead economic sector of the province.

According to the decision of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Tam Dao National Tourist Area has an area of ​​10,723 hectares, including: the administrative service subdivision of Tam Dao National Park in Tam Dao district is 5,399 hectares; the foot of Tam Dao mountain area is 4,561.5 hectares; the Tay Thien relic and scenic area is 477.6 hectares and Tam Dao tourist area is 284.9 hectares.

The boundary of Tam Dao National Tourist Area is determined as the Northeast and East borders Tam Dao National Park in Tam Dao district, Vinh Phuc province and Thai Nguyen province; the Southeast borders Cam Lam Shooting Range and forest land of Minh Quang commune, Tam Dao district; the South borders rice land of Minh Quang commune, Tam Dao district; the West borders provincial road 302 through Hop Chau town, Ho Son commune and Tam Quan commune, Tam Dao district; the Northwest borders production forest land of Bo Ly, Yen Duong communes, Tam Dao district and Son Duong district, Tuyen Quang province.

The recognition of Tam Dao Tourist Area as a National Tourist Area is an opportunity for Vinh Phuc province to promote the introduction and promotion of unique tourism resources and products in terms of culture and entertainment, while attracting investment in tourism service development, contributing significantly to making tourism a key economic sector of the province.
