Da Lat will replace fireworks with a musical fountain show for Tet (Lunar New Year) celebrations.

The musical fountain was donated to the city by Lan Anh Investment Joint Stock Company - Da Lat. Installed in the Xuan Huong Lake marina area, it is designed as a floating musical fountain constructed from specialized plastic materials. The water jet system, both low and high, has a circular structure with a maximum diameter of 18 meters and a minimum diameter of 15 meters; the high-level water jet reaches a maximum of 15 meters during performances. All operations are controlled by specialized software.

By January 27th, the project was in its final stages of completion, ready to be opened to tourists and local residents.

According to Mr. Ton Thien San, Chairman of the Da Lat City People's Committee, although the musical fountain project is not large in area, it is located in a corner of Xuan Huong Lake, combined with the scenery, flower gardens, music, lighting, etc., creating a new attractive tourist destination for the locality. Furthermore, putting the musical fountain into operation to replace festival programs and fireworks displays will contribute to meeting the needs of people and tourists for entertainment, enjoyment, and celebrating the New Year 2022.

According to Mr. San, this musical fountain will operate regularly on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights every week, until at least December 31, 2024.
