The Hanoi People's Committee has planned to organize 78 Spring flower markets to serve the Lunar New Year 2022 from January 12, 2022 (December 10 of the Lunar calendar) to 8:00 p.m. on January 31, 2022 (December 29 of the Lunar calendar).
The City People's Committee directed authorities at all levels to create conditions for units to display and introduce ornamental plants, flowers, fruits, Tet products and traditional craft village products to meet the shopping, sightseeing and entertainment needs of people and tourists celebrating the Lunar New Year 2022, ensuring safety, order, urban civilization and effective control of the COVID-19 epidemic.
In addition, the venues must ensure requirements on COVID-19 prevention and control, security and order, traffic safety, fire prevention and fighting, and environmental sanitation; the collection of rental fees for business space and vehicle parking at flower markets must comply with current regulations of the State and the City.
Spring flower markets must have nameplates, flag decorations, and lighting; arrange a working place and phone number of the flower market management unit to contact for transactions and promptly resolve incidents; reserve a suitable area for parking vehicles for visitors and shoppers; and arrange a public restroom area.
The products displayed at the flower fair are mainly ornamental plants, flowers, fruits; some handicraft products of traditional craft villages and products for Lunar New Year. The funding comes from socialized sources and the budget of districts, towns.
The City People's Committee directs the Department of Industry and Trade to publicize the list of locations and organize propaganda about the Plan to organize spring flower markets to serve Tet on mass media; guide the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to develop and deploy plans to manage and arrange spring flower market activities in the area.
