Hanoi will have 78 spring flower markets to serve the Lunar New Year.

Flower markets in Hanoi will be held from January 12-31 (from the 10th to the 29th day of the 12th lunar month) ensuring safety, order, urban civility, and effective control of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Hanoi People's Committee has planned to organize 78 spring flower markets to serve the Lunar New Year of the Tiger in 2022 from January 12, 2022 (corresponding to the 10th day of the 12th lunar month) to 8 PM on January 31, 2022 (corresponding to the 29th day of the 12th lunar month).

The People's Committee of the city directs authorities at all levels to create favorable conditions for units to display and introduce ornamental plants, flowers, fruits, Tet holiday products and traditional craft products to meet the shopping, sightseeing, and entertainment needs of people and tourists celebrating the Lunar New Year of the Tiger in 2022, ensuring safety, order, urban civility and effective control of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition, the venues must ensure compliance with COVID-19 prevention and control requirements, public order and security, traffic safety, fire prevention and control, and environmental hygiene; the collection of fees for renting business space and parking at flower markets must comply with current regulations of the State and the City.

Spring flower markets must have name signs, flag decorations, and lighting; designated workspaces and telephone numbers of the market management unit for contact and timely resolution of incidents; appropriate areas allocated for parking for visitors; and public restrooms.

The products displayed at the flower fair mainly consist of ornamental plants, flowers, and fruits; some handicrafts from traditional craft villages; and products for the Lunar New Year. Funding for the event comes from social contributions and the budgets of districts, counties, and towns.

The People's Committee of the City directs the Department of Industry and Trade to publicly announce the list of locations and organize publicity about the plan to organize spring flower markets for Tet on mass media; and to guide the People's Committees of districts, counties, and towns to develop and implement plans for managing and organizing spring flower market activities in their respective areas.
