The sweetness of warm memories with family.
Each of us carries within us a certain aroma, a scent that, even with just a fleeting whiff, unconsciously evokes countless memories. For Sarah Burgess, a master single malt whisky maker, that unforgettable aroma comes from childhood memories of joyful family gatherings during Scotland's most important holiday of the year – Hogmanay.
Sarah's childhood home, which sowed the seeds of her inspiration, was a small house in the village of Aberlour, Speyside, Scotland, across the river from the renowned Macallan estate.
In the final days of the year, the crisp chill of winter embraces the joyful atmosphere of the village preparing to welcome the new year. Amidst this bustling atmosphere, the sweet aroma of freshly baked shortbread stands out – a traditional gift exchanged during the New Year's Eve "first-footing" ritual. This shortbread blends seamlessly with the subtle scent of single malt whiskey, a staple found in any Scottish home during the festive season. It's a harmonious blend of New Year's flavors: sun-dried oranges hung as door decorations; butterscotch candy; sweet marshmallows bringing joy to children; vanilla, cinnamon, and the pungent spices of family meals. All of this creates a nostalgic atmosphere, powerfully revived by Sarah Burgess's masterful touch in the essence of A Night On Earth.

Regarding the creation of A Night On Earth, Sarah Burgess shared: “As a single malt blender, capturing the landscape, aromas, and experience of Hogmanay has been a privilege. I hope this warm drink will fully reflect the joy and deep pride that Scots feel during this most important time of year. The focus of A Night On Earth is none other than the people and the special moments they share as they gather with friends and family to celebrate and welcome the new year. Wherever you are and whenever you celebrate the new year, A Night On Earth will be the perfect drink to elevate the feeling of togetherness with you and your loved ones.”
Box design and pieces of sweet memories
Beyond just the taste, the essence of the Hogmanay New Year celebration is also reflected in the packaging design, a creation by the talented French-Japanese designer Erica Dorn.

For the first time, connoisseurs can hold in their hands a single-dose malt whisky box design, where the artistic emphasis is simply on abstracted moments of Hogmanay: the first visit of the year, lighting the fire, throwing the coals, eating and drinking, raising a toast to family reunions... On the outside, fragments of memories of Hogmanay moments stand out in red, symbolizing good fortune and the warm fire of New Year's Eve that millions of families light to celebrate the new year. Inside, these fragments of memories are draped in mystical shades of blue. For those who deeply cherish the warm moments of the last winter night of the year, this will be the special blue of that night. And for those with a strong sense of national pride, this blue holds even more sacred meaning as it is the color of the Scottish flag, symbolizing Saint Andrew.

It is said that enjoying single malt whisky involves more than just drinking. The flavor profile and packaging design of A Night On Earth evoke a complete sense of warmth for anyone fortunate enough to hold it in their hands. Perhaps this is because it was born from the heart, mind, and powerful emotions in the memories of talented individuals with a desire to pursue extraordinary values.
