InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort enhances service quality and hygiene standards with global campaign IHG Clean Promise

As one of the first resorts on the Pearl Island to implement new standards of safety and hygiene in service and operation, InterContinental Phu Quoc is striving to meet the new requirements and expectations of tourists for domestic tourism. By applying new service procedures according to the global IHG Clean Promise standard in a scientific way, InterContinental Phu Quoc hopes to bring necessary protection to tourists, while helping tourists feel comfortable and confident throughout their travel time.

The resort is enhancing deep cleaning and routine disinfection procedures throughout, minimizing physical contact at the front desk such as using electronic receipts instead of paper receipts, adding hand sanitizer stations, and at the same time, making similar changes to food and beverage services such as buffets, banquet services, catering and in-room dining.

In the guest rooms, the room decorations, bedside tables, resort information and menus have all been removed. Instead, guests can find this information on the TV screens in the guest rooms. The minibar has also been removed; however, guests can still order drinks through room service.

Restaurants and bars will adopt electronic menus, ensuring both hygiene and environmental friendliness. Guests simply scan the QR code to view and order dishes using their phones or personal electronic devices. In addition, disposable menus will also be provided and discarded immediately after use. For breakfast at Sora & Umi, chefs and staff will serve at the table what guests choose from the buffet counter with a variety of dishes, promising a delicious and energetic breakfast.
