Nature Conservancy is an international organization dedicated to nature conservation, addressing climate issues and protecting the marine and island environment, and is currently present in 72 countries. Each year, Nature Conservancy organizes an annual photo contest to encourage awareness of the natural world around us.
This year, over 100,000 entries from 150 countries were submitted to the Nature Conservancy. There were five judging categories: Wildlife, People in Nature, Cities and Nature, Water, and Landscapes. The People's Choice award, voted on by readers, went to Sarira Santora's work, "Wanayo Falls." This waterfall is located in Wasior, West Papua, Indonesia.

The second prize in the same category went to a photograph of a small city at night in Georgia, taken by Ukrainian photographer Yevhen Samuchenko.
