Inspired by the traditional Vietnamese fishing boat, Axi Plaza – a shopping, entertainment, and convention center – officially opened on the Cam Ranh peninsula on April 25, 2024.
Strategically located on Bai Dai Beach, Axi Plaza integrates numerous amenities such as: a modern, large-capacity auditorium, a 360-degree rooftop, outdoor event spaces, and a 10,000 m² shopping and dining center.2.
Axi Plaza is the largest shopping, entertainment, and convention center in Cam Ranh, featuring a sea-view conference room with a capacity of 1,000 people. Beyond providing space for MICE tourism, Axi Plaza also attracts tourists with its convenient shopping and dining options, as well as its ideal resting place after checking out of hotels while waiting for flights departing from Khanh Hoa.
The Anam Group officially opened Axi Plaza on April 25, 2024, at Bai Dai Beach, Cam Ranh, Khanh Hoa.
Axi Plaza marks the third major development of The Anam Group, following the opening of The Anam Cam Ranh resort in 2017 and The Anam Mui Ne in 2023. Located adjacent to The Anam Cam Ranh, Axi Plaza promises to bring a breath of fresh air to Cam Ranh, once known as the largest deep-water port in Southeast Asia and now becoming an attractive destination alongside Nha Trang.
Speaking to the press at the launch of Axi Plaza, Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Director of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Tourism, said: “Khanh Hoa is a leading tourist destination in Vietnam and has the largest number of hotel rooms and accommodations in the country. Khanh Hoa province welcomes the launch of the new high-end product, Axi Plaza, which is very suitable for the large number of 5-star hotels currently in the province.”
The design of Axi Plaza is inspired by the traditional Vietnamese basket boat.
Ideally situated for "beach events," the grand ballroom and banquet hall spans 1,200 square meters.2Located on the 3rd floor of Axi Plaza, the hall has a capacity of up to 1,000 people. The interior of the hall is luxurious, featuring a high ceiling with fan-shaped wooden slats and modern, state-of-the-art equipment such as a 75m LED screen.2.
The 360-degree rooftop terrace on the 5th floor is designed for receptions and events, with a total area of nearly 1,100 m2 and panoramic views of the white sandy beach and clear blue waters of Bai Dai Beach. From Axi Plaza, looking northwest, you can see the "Song Lo" cape, a unique location known as the place where "waves meet mountains".
The 360-degree rooftop on the 5th floor is designed to cater to the diverse needs of MICE tourism.
Between the building shaped like a traditional Vietnamese basket boat and Bai Dai Beach lies an outdoor event space with a large lawn and three ocean-facing swimming pools, including a saltwater pool and a children's pool with lifeguards on duty. Beyond the spacious reception area on the second floor is a 200-square-meter lobby.2with spectacular sea views and a food court serving Vietnamese dishes.
Axi Plaza was established to meet the needs of domestic and international tourists, allowing them to shop, enjoy pleasant moments with delicious food, and also to provide a waiting area for tourists in the region while they await flights from Cam Ranh Airport.
In addition to spaces for MICE events and indoor and outdoor dining areas on the 4th floor, the 1st floor of Axi Plaza is dedicated to shopping with 46 stores ranging in size from 14 m².2up to 239 m2.
The building's exterior design features massive wooden beams, hundreds of years old, interwoven to form the shape of a giant basket boat. At night, Axi Plaza glows with colorful lights thanks to its modern lighting system.
At the opening ceremony, Mr. Pham Van Hien, founder of The Anam Group, shared: “Axi Plaza is a new development for Cam Ranh and the entire Central Coast region. Tourists and business people will not be able to find a similar shopping, entertainment, and conference center anywhere else. Shaped like a traditional basket boat with a modern and sophisticated design, Axi Plaza has helped us express our respect for the refined contemporary culture characteristic of Vietnam.”

Originating during the French colonial period, the basket boat was an invention of Vietnamese fishermen to avoid the expensive boat taxes they had to pay to the colonialists. Since then, the basket boat has quickly become a distinctive feature of the South Central coastal region.
Mr. Hien added that, with its lobby, swimming pool, beach, luggage storage area, and many other amenities, Axi Plaza is the "ideal stopover" for tourists who have checked out of their hotels at noon and still have time before leaving Khanh Hoa.
Accordingly, both Axi Plaza and The Anam Cam Ranh will offer comprehensive services to tourists at a single location. Despite its recent opening, Axi Plaza has already been chosen by many partners to host events, weddings, and cooperation forums with the local tourism department this year. The Anam Group will organize major events such as classical concerts, fashion shows, and product launches.
