Alma Resort Cam Ranh
With the desire to become the resort with the largest solar energy project in Vietnam, Alma Resort is installing 4,470 solar panels with a total area of 23,290 m2for the entire roofing system of 196 villas, two V-shaped buildings with 384 apartments, the lobby and the machine room. With a maximum capacity of 2,462 kilowatts on sunny days, the solar energy system is expected to meet 25% to 35% of the resort's electricity needs, depending on room occupancy during the low and high seasons.
Alma Resort pioneered in linking up with 12 other resorts in Bai Dai to clean up 15km of beach here and move towards establishing a plastic waste recycling plant in Cam Ranh.
It is estimated that this solar energy system will help Alma save hundreds of billions of VND in electricity costs and reduce tens of thousands of tons of carbon emissions (CO2) over a period of 25 years. Alma Resort also appointed a sustainability officer to monitor energy use, resource conservation, recycling, pollution reduction, waste treatment, transportation, staff training and construction design, and manage and coordinate the activities of three departments specializing in the areas of: green products, innovation and solutions and people and partnerships.

Meliá Hotels International hotels
The efforts of its member hotels around the world in greening have helped Meliá Hotels International be recognized as one of the most sustainable hotel groups in the world according to the latest S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook. In Vietnam, Meliá Ho Tram resort implements a Carbon Offset Program to offset emissions from guests' travel through tree planting activities.

The resort has also introduced a number of educational nature-based experiences to raise awareness of local ecosystems and biodiversity conservation. Meliá Ho Tram, Meliá Ba Vi Mountain Retreat, Meliá Vinpearl Cam Ranh Beach Resort all have their own organic vegetable gardens on their premises. Meliá Vinpearl Phu Quoc turns food waste into nutrients in the soil for outdoor plants.
Grass straws and eco-friendly paper straws have become standard and are used at Meliá Vinpearl Hue, Meliá Vinpearl Danang Riverfront and most other hotels. Meliá hotels in Vietnam and across Southeast Asia are increasingly reducing the use of paper and digitizing essential information and menus via QR codes.

The integrated resort, which includes the Sir Nick Faldo-designed Laguna Golf Lang Co and the award-winning Banyan Tree Lang Co and Angsana Lang Co, has consistently affirmed its position as one of the most sustainable developments in Vietnam, with an EarthCheck “gold certification”. The resort has also committed to reducing meat production and consumption by implementing at least one meat-free day per month in the canteen. The complex’s restaurants have also expanded their vegetarian and vegan menu options.

The Anam Cam Ranh
With an 8,500 m2 organic farm2, The Anam Cam Ranh runs a farm discovery program to help children learn about sustainable farming methods. The farm grows a variety of vegetables, fruits, herbs and is also home to many livestock such as ducks, chickens, geese, rabbits, goats, guinea fowl, turkeys and peacocks.
The Anam Cam Ranh resort's chefs combine fresh organic ingredients from the farm to create a variety of dishes served to guests at Lang Viet Restaurant & Bar as well as in the staff kitchen.

The Anam Cam Ranh regularly organizes farm tours for young and old guests to learn more about sustainable farming methods and interact with friendly animals. Children and adults who participate in the program will learn how to grow their own herbs, vegetables and fruits without chemicals as well as how to care for chickens, ducks and poultry eggs. In addition, the farm tour program takes place daily and is completely free for visitors, some activities are hourly such as collecting chicken/duck eggs from 7:30 to 8:00, growing vegetables from 8:00 to 10:00 and feeding animals from 9:00 to 10:00.
