Binh Dinh has its first road lined with yellow apricot blossoms.

The apricot blossom road is located on the DT631 highway, passing through Thanh Liem apricot blossom growing village, one of the five apricot blossom growing villages in Nhon An commune, An Nhon town (Binh Dinh province). With a length of 406 meters, the road is being completed with 60 apricot blossom trees to create a scenic highlight and to emphasize the value of this characteristic local flower. From this road, residents are encouraged to plant and care for apricot blossoms themselves along other sections and roads.

Mr. Phan Long Hung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nhon An commune, said that the commune government and the Women's Union of Binh Dinh province have invested about 700 million VND to pave the sidewalks and plant yellow apricot blossoms along this road. The road is expected to be inaugurated just before the Lunar New Year of the Tiger 2022.

Mr. Phan Van Sau, an artisan who grows yellow apricot blossoms in Thanh Liem apricot blossom growing village, shared that the villagers are very happy and supportive of creating this yellow apricot blossom road. If well cared for, the yellow apricot blossom road will be a beautiful highlight for the entire Binh Dinh province.

Nhon An commune is famous nationwide for its yellow apricot blossoms, and this is also the main occupation of the entire commune, with over 1,500 households earning their living from apricot blossom cultivation, averaging an annual income of about 400-500 million VND per household. From these apricot blossom villages, many other villages in neighboring communes such as Nhon Phong and Nhon Hanh, all within An Nhon town, are also developing large-scale yellow apricot blossom cultivation.
