According to the Vietnam Civil Aviation Authority, from May 7th, airlines are allowed to remove regulations on seat spacing and passenger limits on aircraft; and also remove restrictions on flight frequency for the Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City/Da Nang routes.
To ensure disease prevention, passengers must still maintain a distance of 1 meter when going through check-in procedures, security screening, and boarding at airports.
Currently, passengers on the plane are seated one seat apart, with social distancing only waived for groups of family members or acquaintances sharing the same ticket code. In addition, passengers are still required to fill out health declarations, have their temperature checked, wear masks, sanitize their hands, and limit conversation and eating during the flight.

Also effective May 7th, the Ministry of Transport decided to remove social distancing requirements for seats on passenger buses, taxis, trains, and ships.
