This holiday also witnessed an explosion of cultural, artistic and tourism events held in many provinces and cities across the country, attracting a large number of visitors. In Ho Chi Minh City, a series of activities to celebrate the April 30 and May 1 holidays are also held. Dam Sen Cultural Park is one of two locations chosen to host fireworks displays in Ho Chi Minh City. Dam Sen will have a performance combining pyrotechnics and a water laser system on a large lake. The water laser will project 3D films with beautiful images of Vietnam's land and people. At Nguyen Hue walking street, Dong Khoi street and the Labor Culture Palace, an exhibition will be held with the theme of celebrating the 43rd anniversary of national reunification and the city's achievements.

In Da Nang, on April 30, the whole city held a series of exciting activities such as: street dances, street music, street magic on both sides of the Han River. In particular, the art program to celebrate the Liberation of the South, National Reunification and International Labor Day at APEC Park and a comprehensive performance program at the landscape floor, the North Park, the East bank of Tran Thi Ly Bridge.
Tighten up on "overcharging" tourists
With a series of exciting events taking place across the country, localities have stepped up inspections, ensured safety, and especially come up with solutions to limit the phenomenon of "ripping off" tourists.
As a locality that attracts a lot of tourists during this holiday, Ms. Vuong Thi Hai Yen, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa, said that the Department has increased inspections in Sam Son, Hai Tien, and Hai Hoa. The Department has reminded localities to ensure environmental sanitation, security, order, traffic safety, and prepare for rescue work. Safety warning signs and hotlines have been installed at most beaches and crowded places.
In Quang Nam, the province has publicized the hotlines of tourist attractions, and the provincial tourism promotion center has coordinated with the authorities to commit to handling any complaints from tourists. The People's Committee of Hoi An city also requires businesses to clearly list their prices to avoid haggling and price gouging that affects tourist attractions.
In Da Nang alone, there are up to 600 domestic and international flights during the holiday. In order to cope with the overload of tourists, the Da Nang Department of Tourism continuously organizes inspections of accommodation facilities, tourist areas, attractions, boats, train stations, restaurants... to ensure safety and stable service prices.

Even in Mui Ne (Phan Thiet, Binh Thuan), the local government arranged three weighing points at the fishing village seafood wharf to help tourists avoid being cheated or "ripped off" when buying seafood.
Previously, on April 25, the Prime Minister requested the People's Committees of provinces and cities to ensure security and safety in tourism activities during the holidays, ensure hygiene, environment, food safety and strictly handle violations; at the same time, inspect and supervise to prevent violations of the law in tourism, the situation of not posting prices, fraud, profiteering, soliciting and pressuring tourists during peak times.
