1. EUROPEAN FILM FESTIVALS IN HANOI, HO CHI MINH CITY, HUE AND CAN THO
This is the 20th European Film Festival organized by the Delegation of the European Union in Vietnam with the support of the EU Public Outreach Project (EUPOP) and with the participation of the Embassies of EU member states and European Cultural Centers in Vietnam.

The festival features 13 outstanding films selected from 14 different countries, offering a "luxurious cinematic feast" with diverse themes: from journeys of youth and coming of age, history and contemporary life, family values and complex self-identity in a crowded world, conflicts and hope.

Amidst the Covid-19 pandemic and its dark shadow cast over the entire world, the film festival aims to send a humane and bright message to its audience: Keep loving, optimistic, and believing.

2. Carmen Ballet Suite – A Classic Artistic Experience
On the evening of November 14th, at the City Theatre, the Ho Chi Minh City Symphony Orchestra and Opera House (HBSO) held a re-staging of the Ballet Suite Carmen, featuring a longer version of Falling Angels with a captivating theme about gender.
The ballet Carmen is one of HBSO's most popular performances.
The performance of "Falling Angles" was presented by Sung A Lung, the talented and passionate "H'Mong dancer who paints the dream of urban life." He previously impressed with his solo performance on a table in HBSO's Bolero piece, and is the person behind "Falling Angles."

The ballet Carmen is one of the most successful works in HBSO's ballet repertoire, and is always sold out. This time, the work will be performed for one night only at the Ho Chi Minh City Opera House at 8 PM on November 14th - a rare opportunity for audiences to immerse themselves in this elegant, captivating, and classic artistic space.
Ticket prices range from 300,000 VND to 650,000 VND, with a special price of 80,000 VND for students.
3. Enjoy the musical "Les Misérables"
"Les Misérables" (also known as Les Misérables) was written by the great French author Victor Hugo and published in 1862. It is also one of the most famous novels of 19th-century world literature.
"Les Misérables" is a classic musical version of the earlier work.
Inspired by this deeply humanistic literary work, and set against the backdrop of the global struggle with the COVID-19 pandemic, the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet Theatre (VNOB) has decided to present the musical "Les Misérables," which tells the story of unfulfilled dreams, while also incorporating humanistic values of hope and human connection in real life.
The VNOB team is rehearsing with the hope of bringing the Musical genre to the stage.
The production team includes big names in Vietnamese opera and passionate young people who have lived and worked abroad. They hope that this play will be a stepping stone, bringing musical performance art closer to Vietnamese audiences.
The musical will be performed at 8 PM on November 21st and 22nd at the Hanoi Opera House, with ticket prices as follows:

4. Exhibition “No Clouds, No Rain”
"No Clouds, No Rain" is an art exhibition within the framework of the Vietnam Creativity and Design Festival 2020, showcasing 32 works by 22 artists, including paintings, videos, and sculptures, selected from the RMIT University Collection – one of the most highly regarded contemporary art collections in Vietnam.

The exhibition revolves around multifaceted stories of memory and identity, reflecting on the preservation and promotion of Vietnamese art and culture through collections, and the interaction between traditional identity and urban life.

The exhibition will be held online on the Kunstmatrix platform until December 27th or in person from November 7th to 15th at the Vietnam Women's Museum (Hanoi).
5. Israeli Film Festival in Vietnam 2020
Another film festival in November is for those who love cinema, especially Israeli cinema. The festival is a lavish feast with a wide variety of genres: from art, entertainment, social drama, children's films to short films. The films focus on humanistic themes, highlighting family love, the desire to live and strive for excellence, as well as the pursuit of love despite vast differences.

The Deputy Ambassador of Israel to Vietnam believes that the 2020 Israel Film Festival will help Vietnamese audiences better understand the country, its people, and the spirit of Israel.

The film festival will take place from November 13-16 in Hanoi and from November 26-30 in Ho Chi Minh City, with free tickets available at BHD Star Cineplex theaters. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a film review contest and answer fun questions via email and Facebook. Winners will receive prizes from the Israeli Embassy in Vietnam and BHD Star Cineplex.
6. Vietnam Design Week 2020
Vietnam Design Week 2020, themed “Rebirth,” is a program celebrating outstanding Vietnamese designs and artists in the fields of Food, Housing, Clothing, Gifts, and Public Art. The program includes a series of activities such as exhibitions, seminars, workshops, and fashion shows.

"Rebirth" is not a foreign concept in design. Through this event, Vietnam Design Week aims to change the mindset regarding the economical and optimal use of materials – based on readily available materials to create products for daily life, towards sustainable development. Furthermore, Vietnam Design Week wants to revive all the material values and spiritual concepts that have constituted the name "Vietnam" for millennia. This is the source of inspiration and motivation for the creation of outstanding works.

7. The documentary film "The Glorious Tragedy"
"The Glorious Tragedy" is a documentary film project within the framework of the VTV Special Project, co-written by directors Le My Cuong and Thanh Nguyen. The film is made in the style of direct-screen documentary, following the journey of a rare surviving traditional theater troupe as they travel through village temples and ancient shrines in the Mekong Delta provinces. The emperors and empresses on stage are also hardworking, struggling laborers after the curtain falls. Tragedy strikes when the pillars of the troupe face hardship. What future awaits this small troupe of simple, honest people from the Mekong Delta?

The film premiered on November 13, 2020, at BHD Star cinemas nationwide. All profits from the film will be used by the production team to support the traditional Vietnamese opera (Tuong) art form, which is gradually disappearing in the Mekong Delta.
8. A tribute concert to The Beatles - The Beatles Symphony
The Beatles Symphony concert will introduce audiences to the timeless works of The Beatles, performed by a symphony orchestra combined with a light band, featuring vocalists such as Tung Duong, Uyen Linh, Pham Anh Khoa, Vu Dinh Trong Thang (Ngot)..., along with appearances by MC Long Vu and MC Anh Tuan. Especially, the reunion of many Hanoi student bands from the 80s and 90s, such as Desire and White Eagle, promises to recreate the musical atmosphere of the memorial nights for John Lennon at universities more than two decades ago.
