Nowadays, bakeries often integrate with tea and coffee shops. They not only sell pastries and drinks, but also provide a space where Gen Z can meet, chat, and take beautiful check-in photos. Join Travellive as we explore this model.
Pema
This is a very cute bakery with a predominantly white color scheme. Pema exudes a sweet, princess-like vibe that appeals to many young women with similar personalities.

At Pema, beautifully crafted French-style chilled pastries are the main focus. These small, meticulously decorated cakes have their own unique style. The shop also sells tea in pots and other modern beverages to offer a variety of flavors and choices for customers. However, the elegant teapots, in the style of old European aristocracy, are the most popular choice among customers.

The shop has two locations, one on Dang Thai Mai Street and the other on Quang Trung Street, both spacious with many lovely photo spots. A minor drawback is that the space on Dang Thai Mai Street is a bit more limited in terms of photo opportunities, and the pastries here don't taste as outstanding as they look.
Soie by fours
Located on Phan Chu Trinh street, this bakery has a rather modern design with a dominant gray color scheme, in keeping with the contemporary style commonly seen in other beverage and pastry shops.

This is also a shop specializing in French-style chilled pastries with a diverse and extensive menu, and they sell a wide variety of drinks. However, perhaps because they sell so many things, there isn't a consistent quality between the pastries and drinks. Some pastries are delicious, while others are slightly less appealing.

The cafe's modern design and interior are its strong points.
Speaking to a Travellive reporter, Mr. Thu, the shop owner, said: "Since the shop is newly opened, I'm trying my best to serve everyone."
Artemis
Artemis has opened two locations in the busy Ngo Quyen and Van Cao areas, featuring colorful display cases filled with pastries.
This is considered a fairly high-quality bakery in Hanoi. With drinks also sold on-site, Artemis offers a great spot for young people to take photos. While the space isn't particularly outstanding, and is even quite ordinary compared to the two aforementioned shops, the quality of the cakes and drinks at Artemis remains consistently good. In particular, some of the cakes here have a distinctive, refreshing flavor.

The shop is very diligent in updating and changing its menu, recently adding soursop to tea, much to the delight of customers. The cake decorations here are also simple yet vibrant, focusing on highlighting the fruit and chocolate ingredients.
If I had to choose the place with the best cakes among the three shops mentioned above, it would probably be Artemis, while Soie would have the most modern, minimalist space, and finally, Pema would be known as the most stylish and luxurious tea and cake shop.
A photogenic spot at Artemis.
The common feature of all three bakeries is that they sell pastries along with tea and coffee, making it convenient for customers to sit and chat. Although the seating area has a somewhat "industrialized" feel, it's a fairly pleasant model for most people due to its convenience, accessibility, and familiarity, just like any other coffee shop.
Another common feature of these bakeries is their investment in the appearance of the cakes, the variety of their drink menus, and the decor, which is perfect for young people to take photos together when gathering or dating.
Hopefully, with the suggestions above, Gen Z youth in particular and readers in general can find a place to relax on a leisurely weekend afternoon. Try ordering a few pastries, enjoying them with a hot cup of tea, and watching the bustling city in the evening.
