Although tourism was one of the sectors most severely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, it is also a sector with the ability to recover quickly, contributing to the recovery and development of other sectors. Currently, the Covid-19 pandemic is basically under control, and tourism activities in Can Tho city are restarting. Therefore, the city's tourism industry always prioritizes the recovery and development of tourism while simultaneously implementing measures to ensure safety and prevent the spread of the disease, as well as the safety of residents and tourists.

As the largest city in the Mekong Delta, Can Tho boasts a distinctive riverine culture, giving its tourism a unique regional character unlike anywhere else. At the conference, many new tourism products and services aimed at attracting tourists to Can Tho were introduced, such as: river tourism by Mai Linh Group, the Can Tho – Con Dao route; the Can Tho – Chau Doc route by Victoria Cruise; agricultural experiences at Bao Gia Trang Farm in Cai Rang district; experiencing life at Thoi An Dong Tourist Village in Binh Thuy district... and several new products based on previously known tourist destinations such as the floating market in My Khanh Tourist Village; experiencing fishing on land; and making traditional cakes at Con Son Community Tourism… Many promotional programs to stimulate tourism were launched after the pandemic was brought under control, ensuring discounted services without compromising quality. In addition, the conference also launched the second phase of the post-pandemic stimulus program for businesses in Can Tho city, and a map of businesses registered as safe tourism providers.

The most significant and meaningful aspect of this conference was the opportunity for tourism businesses in Can Tho City to connect tours and routes, as well as meet, exchange ideas, and cooperate with tourism businesses in the northern provinces/cities.
