This event is organized to introduce new tourism products and services, creating opportunities for tourism businesses in Can Tho city to connect tours and routes, and to meet, exchange and cooperate with tourism businesses in the northern provinces/cities. The conference was attended by Deputy Director General of the General Department of Tourism Ha Van Sieu, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Duong Tan Hien, along with representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho, Hanoi Department of Tourism and representatives of more than 150 travel agencies in Can Tho and Hanoi.




Although tourism is one of the industries most severely damaged by the Covid-19 pandemic, tourism is an industry that has the ability to recover quickly, contributing to promoting the recovery and development of other industries. Up to now, the Covid-19 pandemic has been basically controlled, and tourism activities in Can Tho city are being restarted. Therefore, the city's tourism industry always determines that the recovery and development of tourism must go hand in hand with the implementation of conditions to ensure safety in epidemic prevention and control, and safety for people and tourists...



As the largest city in the Western region, Can Tho has a typical cultural lifestyle of the river region, so Can Tho tourism has a strong regional character that cannot be found anywhere else. At the Conference, many new tourism products and services to attract tourists to Can Tho city were introduced such as: River tourism of Mai Linh Group, Can Tho - Con Dao route; Can Tho - Chau Doc route of Victoria Cruise; farming experience at Bao Gia Trang Farm, Cai Rang district; life experience of Thoi An Dong Tourist Village, Binh Thuy district... and some new products on the platform of previously known tourist destinations such as Floating Market in My Khanh Tourist Village; experience of fishing on land; making traditional cakes of Con Son Community Tourism... Many promotional programs to stimulate tourism were launched after the epidemic situation was controlled, ensuring the quality of services at reduced prices but without affecting the quality. In addition, the conference also launched the second post-pandemic stimulus program of Can Tho city businesses, and a map of businesses registering for safe tourism.




The most special and meaningful point of this conference is to create opportunities for tourism businesses of Can Tho city to connect tours and routes, and to meet, exchange and cooperate with tourism businesses in the Northern provinces/cities. The conference ended with a cooperation signing program between tourism businesses of Can Tho city and Hanoi.

Tourists to the city:reached 5,605,865 arrivals, down 36.8% over the same period, reaching 60.9% of the yearly plan. The number of tourists staying reached 2,020,145, down 32.8% over the same period in 2019, reaching 61.4% of the yearly plan. Of which, the number of international visitors staying is estimated at 111,420, down 72.7% over the same period in 2019, reaching 25.3% of the yearly plan. The number of domestic visitors staying is estimated at 1,908,725, down 26.5% over the same period in 2019, reaching 67% of the yearly plan.
Total revenue from tourism:Estimated at 3,169 billion VND, down 28.6% over the same period in 2019, reaching 62.1% of the yearly plan.
