Can Tho organizes the 2022 Online Tourism Fair "Joining Hands to Restore Tourism"

The Can Tho Online Tourism Fair 2022 currently features 70 participating booths from provincial and city Departments of Tourism; Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism; tourism promotion centers; accommodation establishments, travel agencies, tourist attractions, and businesses operating in the fields of: tourist transportation, food and beverage, shopping, entertainment, healthcare, gift products, etc., nationwide.

The main activity of the Fair is to organize exhibition spaces and online booths where businesses can directly trade, introduce and promote tourism products and local specialties, and connect digital transformation in tourism.

Within the framework of the Fair, there are many promotional programs and vouchers for visitors. Visitors can access online booths to learn information, interact, browse images and videos, view details of each product, and exchange information without limits throughout the event. In addition, visitors can also communicate via Zalo, Viber, or the hotline of the participating businesses.

In addition to the main activities, the Fair also incorporates many side events such as: the seminar "Joining hands to restore tourism after the Covid-19 pandemic"; a program of exchange and direct guidance on digital transformation in the tourism sector; a program to visit and give gifts to small traders at Cai Rang Floating Market; the "Spring Colors of the Orchard" activity, the "Year of the Tiger - Can Tho 2022 Spring Flower Garden"...

Mr. Nguyen Minh Tuan, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City, said that the Can Tho Online Tourism Fair is the first tourism promotion event implemented on a digital platform. This is one of the initial steps to revive the tourism industry, as the city updates its pandemic level from level 3 to level 2, organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City in coordination with the Can Tho Tourism Development Center.

"The online tourism fair connects businesses, tour operators, and announces promotional programs to stimulate demand and attract tourists to Can Tho City during the 2022 Lunar New Year," Mr. Tuan said.
