Hanoi in autumn is always charming with its colorful flowers and cool atmosphere. This autumn, the capital's residents have a new and poetic destination - the yellow chrysanthemum field at the foot of Long Bien Bridge. The Red River alluvial area, which used to be inundated with garbage and floods, has now been transformed into a green space with the brilliant yellow color of chrysanthemums, attracting hundreds of tourists to take photos and relax.
Starting from the wasteland
The Red River alluvial area in Phuc Xa ward, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi is an area that regularly collects waste and is heavily affected by flooding, especially during the recent storm Yagi. The land here is muddy, waterlogged and shows no signs of green life. However, with the determination and efforts of the Ba Dinh district government and local organizations, this land has been cleaned up, renovated and turned into a field of bright yellow chrysanthemums, bringing a new look to the area.

The way to the yellow daisy field at the foot of Long Bien bridge
On October 30, the People's Committee of Ba Dinh district organized the launching ceremony of the "Phuc Xa - Ba Dinh Flower Wharf". The project was implemented with the participation of hundreds of volunteers from the Fatherland Front, Veterans Association, District Youth Union, and especially the Ba Dinh District Women's Union. The forces cleared nearly 100 shacks and barns, leveled nearly 10 hectares of land and cut down about 5,000 wild trees. The government and organizations cleared the entire area, creating a large, fertile space for planting.
The combination of nature and history
Long Bien Bridge, a historical symbol of Hanoi, now has a special highlight: a field of bright yellow daisies. Yellow daisies, with their warm colors, symbolize perseverance and hope. The image of the flower field lying below the ancient bridge has created a beautiful picture, where modernity and tradition meet, attracting a large number of tourists to visit.
A yellow dot in the sky
This flower planting project is not only a beautiful landscape but also carries the meaning of a green, clean Hanoi. The Women's Union of Ba Dinh district has played a key role in planting and caring for the flower field. Members of the association shared that this is the third time they have tried to plant flowers in this area, as the previous two times were flooded. Ms. Bui Thi Hong Van, representative of the Women's Union of Phuc Xa ward, said: "From a land filled with garbage, we have turned this place into a green, clean and beautiful space thanks to the community's cooperation."

More than a month ago, the land submerged in a vast sea of water has now become a brilliant flower field.
The members of the Association spent hours plowing, planting flowers, and fertilizing each bed of land to create the beautiful scene as it is today. Every early morning, the members of the Association took turns watering and caring for each flower bush, maintaining a clean and fresh landscape for the area. They not only created a relaxing space for the community but also contributed to raising awareness of environmental protection, encouraging everyone to join hands to clean up the living environment.
New "check-in" spot for young people
The brilliant space of the yellow daisy field quickly spread on social networks, attracting many young people and photography enthusiasts. Every day, from early morning, dozens of people came to capture the beautiful moments of Hanoi's autumn. They posed among the bright yellow flower bushes, with Long Bien Bridge as the background, creating artistic and poetic photos.

Nguyen Linh, a student in Hanoi, shared: “I didn’t think there was such a beautiful and peaceful place in the heart of the city. The flower fields not only bring fresh air but also help me relax and reduce stress after school hours.” The brilliant yellow color of chrysanthemums combined with the ancient scenery of Long Bien Bridge has captivated anyone who comes here, making this place an unmissable destination this autumn.
The future of tourism development along the Red River
The "Phuc Xa Flower Wharf" project not only aims to create beautiful landscapes but also aims to develop sustainable tourism for Hanoi. According to the representative of the Ba Dinh District People's Committee, this is the first step in a series of tourism development projects along the Red River. The Red River sandbank area is currently planning to build green spaces to attract tourists and bring economic income to local people.
With the advantage of fertile land, the yellow chrysanthemums grow and develop well, completely changing the landscape of the wasteland.

With the advantage of a large area, Phuc Xa ward has planned to use the land for 9 months without flooding to plant flowers, improve the landscape, and develop many other types of flowers suitable for each season of the year. This not only creates a green, beautiful space but also helps improve the spiritual life of the people, contributing to promoting tourism in the capital.
The field of yellow daisies at the foot of Long Bien Bridge is a testament to the strength of the community and the love for Hanoi. From an abandoned land, covered in garbage, it has now become a green, clean and beautiful space, a destination for many residents and tourists. This project not only contributes to beautifying the urban landscape but also raises people's awareness of environmental protection, encouraging a green and happy lifestyle.
The land is still under renovation,
develop more types of flowers
This is a new symbol of Hanoi's autumn, where nature, culture and community are connected together. The rustic but brilliant yellow chrysanthemums, combined with the ancient features of Long Bien Bridge, have created a beautiful picture, preserving the traditional spirit of the thousand-year-old capital. For those who love Hanoi, this is not only a photo spot but also a place to find peace, nostalgia, and hope for a green future for the beloved capital.
