According to official information, the fireworks display will last 15 minutes, starting at 11:45 PM on December 31, 2025, and ending at midnight on January 1, 2026. To ensure maximum visual impact, the city has decided to mobilize a total of 4,000 high-altitude fireworks and 360 low-altitude fireworks displays. The placement of the firing points has been carefully calculated by the authorities to ensure both fire safety and to provide the best possible viewing conditions for the crowd from various angles.

Taking place from 7 PM to midnight at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, the program promises to bring together top artists.

The final fireworks display location on the list is Van Quan Lake in Ha Dong District. Diversifying these locations is part of the city's policy to alleviate traffic congestion in the core area, while also bringing the joy of the New Year closer to all residents at the gateways to the capital.
Hanoi is also making early plans for the Lunar New Year holiday in 2026. It is expected that the fireworks display on New Year's Eve (February 17, 2026) will be even more impressive, with 31 firing points at 32 locations across all districts, towns, and communes. The city is researching the application of modern light show technologies such as drone lights in combination with traditional fireworks to enhance the experience for the public. According to Plan No. 350/KH-UBND of the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, Vu Dai Thang, this year's Tet activities will be imbued with a humanitarian spirit, ensuring social welfare and strongly promoting the image of tourism in the capital city.
