The thematic seminar program was jointly organized by four reputable organizations: the Lao Cai Provincial Tourism Association, the Wellbeing Health Education Organization (a member of the UK Safety Council), Hung Thinh General Hospital, and Nanoomtech Medical Technology Company from South Korea.
The event brought together numerous representatives from management agencies, medical experts, legal experts, and businesses operating in the tourism, hotel, resort, and homestay sectors in Lao Cai province.
The main event was a seminar and thematic exercise titled "Proactive Response and Prevention of Medical Incidents at Accommodation Facilities - From a Legal and Medical Perspective".
At the seminar, experts noted that when a serious medical incident occurs at an accommodation facility, the first few minutes (the golden time) are crucial for the survival of the guest. However, in reality, many facilities currently lack adequate first aid skills, standardized procedures, or necessary equipment to handle cases of cardiac arrest, stroke, or traumatic injuries.
This lack of preparation not only endangers human lives but also leads to serious legal consequences, directly affecting the reputation and business operations of the enterprises themselves. Therefore, proactive prevention is a win-win solution: saving lives, protecting businesses, and enhancing the reputation of the local tourism industry.

Experts focused on clarifying the legal responsibilities of businesses when incidents occur, while also emphasizing the importance of standardized operating procedures, the provision of supporting equipment, and employee training.
The participating businesses were then guided through hands-on training by experts from the Wellbeing Health Education Organization. This practical activity helped hotel and resort staff gain real-world experience in handling critical situations, enhancing their ability to respond quickly during the "golden hour" before professional medical personnel arrive on the scene.
Alongside the discussions, the Organizing Committee also conducted a special activity: officially awarding the "Delphinus - Safe Destination Designation" to accommodation establishments that fully meet the rigorous standards regarding response procedures, personnel training, and emergency equipment.

The event took place on June 18th, live at Sapa Highland Resort & Spa, and simultaneously with online participation to broaden its reach.
Through this event, the organizers hope to foster closer connections between the three stakeholders: the tourism industry, the health sector, and regulatory agencies, in order to build a synchronized health and safety standard at the destination. Proactive preparation and responsibility are key to making Lao Cai a "safe destination," creating a strong competitive advantage in the eyes of domestic and international tourists.
