Previously, the Vietnam Civil Aviation Authority announced that, starting from February 15th,Vietnam lifts restrictions on flight frequency for international flights.Returning to normal as it was before the Covid-19 pandemic.
On February 17th, the first regular international flight was recorded, taking off at 3:25 PM. The flight time was 2 hours and 5 minutes, operated by an Airbus A321 aircraft of Vietnam Airlines.
When checking in for a flight, in addition to regular travel documents such as passports and airline tickets, passengers need to present information about their Covid-19 vaccination status, a negative Covid-19 PCR test result, and a health declaration as required by the destination country before departure.
Passengers are provided with antibacterial hand wipes.

Conversely, flight VN674 from Kuala Lumpur to Ho Chi Minh City departs at 8:50 PM on February 17th (local time).
Currently, flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Kuala Lumpur and vice versa depart on February 17th, 22nd, 27th, and every Wednesday from March 1st. This is the first regular international route to be restored by Vietnamese airlines, following the announcement by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam on February 15th regarding the lifting of restrictions on the frequency of international flights, returning to normal as before the Covid-19 outbreak.
Since January 1st, Vietnam Airlines has announced the resumption of 24 routes to 15 countries and territories, including: the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Russia, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan (China), Hong Kong (China), Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Laos, and Cambodia.
It is expected that from July 2022, Vietnam Airlines' entire international flight network will resume operations as before the Covid-19 pandemic, with flight frequencies sufficient to meet demand and flight times suitable for passengers.
