On February 17, the first regular international flight was recorded taking off at 3:25 p.m. The flight time was 2 hours and 5 minutes, operated by an Airbus A321 aircraft of Vietnam Airlines.
When checking in before the flight, in addition to the usual flight documents such as passport, plane ticket..., passengers need to present additional information about Covid-19 vaccination status, negative Covid-19 PCR test and health declaration according to the regulations of the destination country before departure.
Passengers are provided with antibacterial hand wipes.

In the opposite direction, flight VN674 from Kuala Lumpur to Ho Chi Minh City departs at 8:50 p.m. on February 17 (local time).
Currently, flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Kuala Lumpur and vice versa depart on February 17, 22, 27 and every Wednesday from March 1. This is the first regular international flight route to be restored by Vietnamese airlines, following the announcement by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam on February 15 about lifting the frequency restrictions on international flights, returning to normal as before the Covid-19 outbreak.
Since January 1, Vietnam Airlines has announced the resumption of 24 flights to 15 countries and territories including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Russia, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan (China), Hong Kong (China), Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Laos and Cambodia.
It is expected that from July 2022, Vietnam Airlines' entire international flight network will be restored to its pre-Covid-19 pandemic level, with flight frequencies meeting demand and flight times suitable for passengers.
