Understanding the hardships his mother endured year-round working in the fields under the sun and rain, and the fact that she had never traveled far in her life, 23-year-old photographer Dong Van Hung helped his mother realize her dream of visiting Da Lat, the "city of a thousand flowers."
The travel photos of the mother and daughter, after being posted on social media, touched many people and inspired admiration for the simple yet profound bond between them.
Dong Van Hung, born in 1996 (Thai Nguyen), is currently working as a photographer in Hanoi. After a long time cherishing the dream of traveling the world with his mother, Hung and his mother recently realized that dream using their savings. This is reportedly the second trip for Hung and his mother (the first was in Phu Yen).
Hung shared that he chose Da Lat as the second place he and his mother visited because it's a peaceful place, not overly bustling, but its beauty still captivates people. He wanted to enjoy the pleasant atmosphere with his mother after days of hard work.

Hung had planned the trip two months in advance, including buying tickets, booking accommodations, and securing funding.
The mother and daughter's trip to Da Lat coincided with the season when wild sunflowers were in bloom.
With the help of a photographer friend, Hung and his mother had a memorable photoshoot in Da Lat.

Da Lat appears truly idyllic in the travel photos of Hung and his mother.
Hung said: “Travels with my mother are always the happiest trips of my life. I’ve traveled a lot with friends, but this trip with my mother gave me a very different feeling. My mother has spent her whole life working in the fields, only seeing the world through a small screen on TV, but finally I got to explore the world with her in a real way.”
Hung also shared that he will try to work and save money so that he can travel to more places with his mother. Because the days they travel together are the happiest days for Hung and his mother.
