“According to a new report from the Fraternal Order of Real-Bearded Santas, nearly a third of members surveyed will not be participating in in-person visits this year,” Airbnb said. This means most Santa impersonators will be without income in 2020.
To help this “Christmas Community” earn extra income, Airbnb, together with Santa Visits USA, will create opportunities for Santas to become online experience hosts for visitors around the world, including “Virtual Visits and Storytime with Santa,” “Holiday Joy from Mama Claus,” “Santa in Sign Language,” “Meet Santa in Lapland.” Additionally, hosts from around the world will share their country’s holiday traditions so that audiences can interact and feel the Christmas atmosphere just like at home.
The online program will include many interesting sections for all audiences: children, adults, and people with disabilities.
