Airbnb stated: “According to a new report by the Fraternal Order of Real-Bearded Santas, nearly one-third of the members surveyed will not be making in-person visits this year.” This means that most of the artists who make a living impersonating Santa will have no income in 2020.
To help this “Christmas Community” generate additional income, Airbnb, in partnership with Santa Visits USA, will create opportunities for Santas to host online experiences for travelers worldwide, including “Virtual Visits and Storytelling Time with Santa,” “Mama Claus’s Holiday Fun,” “Santa Claus Through Sign Language,” and “Meet Santa in Lapland.” Additionally, hosts from around the world will share their country’s holiday traditions so viewers can connect and feel the Christmas spirit just like at home.
The online program will include many interesting sections for all audiences: children, adults, and people with disabilities.
