Like other roads lined with portulaca flowers in the Mekong Delta, this small road was originally planted by Mr. Pham Van Nghe and his wife to prevent weeds from growing and causing erosion on both sides of the road.

Two years have passed, and Uncle Nghe's entire family has been involved in planting and caring for the flowers. From small flowerbeds, they have now grown into a nearly 200-meter-long path, winding through the green rice fields, creating a picturesque pathway leading to their peaceful little house in Hamlet 2, Quy Duc Commune, Binh Chanh District.

The vibrant flowerbeds, bathed in sunlight and emitting a gentle fragrance, adorn the living spaces of the villagers. Not only in Mr. Nghề's family, but creating flower-lined paths around their homes has gradually become a cultural practice spreading to neighboring families.

The flower-lined road is not located on a main road, and is also obscured by two rows of lush green rice paddies. Therefore, it wasn't until recently, when a series of photos by travel blogger Ngo Tran Hai An were shared online, that the road of portulaca flowers received more attention, attracting many young people to travel long distances to "admire" and check in.

Here are a few notes for those of you who have visited or are planning to visit the portulaca flower street of the couple:
You should visit the flower street in the morning, between 9 and 11 a.m., as this is when the flowers are at their most beautiful.

The flower-lined path is only a little over 1 meter wide, so when visiting, you should park your car outside and walk in, or proactively slow down to avoid driving over the flower branches growing on the path.

Each flower bed is the result of the whole family's care, so please don't pick, break, or sit on the flowers. Avoid noise pollution and landscape damage by: Maintaining order and not littering.

Finally, Uncle Nghề's family is very hospitable. When visiting and taking photos, you should greet them and politely ask for their permission. If you're lucky, they might offer you tea or give you helpful guidance. Importantly, this is also a way of thanking them and showing appreciation for their efforts in creating this peaceful and romantic portulaca flower path.
