At the conference, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Sa Pa town, To Ngoc Lien, announced Decision 266/QD-TTg dated March 20, 2023, of the Prime Minister approving the General Planning for the construction of the Sa Pa National Tourist Area - Sa Pa town.
According to the General Planning for the Construction of the Sa Pa National Tourist Area until 2040, approved by the Prime Minister, the scope of the general planning study for the construction of the Sa Pa National Tourist Area in Sa Pa town until 2040 includes the entire administrative boundary of Sa Pa town (formerly Sa Pa district), with an area of 68,137 hectares.
On April 3rd, the People's Committee of Lao Cai province held a conference to announce the General Planning for the construction of the Sa Pa National Tourist Area until 2040.
The Sa Pa National Tourist Area covers an area of over 6,000 hectares, including: the existing Sa Pa tourist town core with an area of over 5,500 hectares and an expanded area of nearly 570 hectares.
The planning orientation for the four tourism sub-zones in Sa Pa town is connected to the center of the Sa Pa National Tourist Area, including the sub-zones of Ngu Chi Son, Ta Phin, Ta Van, and Thanh Binh.
Speaking at the conference, Ms. Giang Thi Dung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that the Prime Minister's approval of the General Planning for the construction of the Sa Pa National Tourist Area until 2040 is of great significance.
