"The Faded Grass" premiered in Ho Chi Minh City on November 23rd and in Hanoi on November 30th. To create the authentic and emotionally resonant 80-minute film for the audience, Lan Nguyen and the film crew followed the musician for five years, conducting 15 filming sessions in many provinces and cities across the country. The film also incorporates valuable archival footage from when Tran Tien was a wandering minstrel, performing his timeless songs on stage.

"The color of withered grass," understood as the color of a soldier's uniform, is also the color of fading values, the color of the past. Through these black-and-white films, Tran Tien remains spirited and free-spirited when speaking about folk songs, war, Hanoi, and the sea—elements that shaped his personality and music.

"The Faded Grass" is currently being screened at the National Film Center with two showings at 4:15 PM and 7:30 PM daily.
