Create Hong Kong is organizing a meeting with Vietnamese designers and filmmakers to promote the development of creative industries, prepare for groundbreaking fashion shows, and launch the Hong Kong Fashion Design Week (HKFDW) at the end of 2024.

Create Hong Kong (or CreateHK for short) is an office specializing in fashion, film, and media, established by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government (China).

During an informal meeting and exchange of experiences with young designers in Hanoi, Mr. Gary Mak – Representative of CreateHK – shared: “Today, young designers are recognized as pioneers because they are a great contributor to making the fashion industry increasingly innovative and diverse. It can be said that designers are the ones who create lifestyle trends for young people globally, with their individual creations being widely accepted and disseminated because these designs bear a unique local imprint.”

Gary Mak expects the meeting to be a convergence point, connecting established Vietnamese designers with reputable fashion businesses from Hong Kong (China). This is also a great opportunity for the businesses to understand each other's potential and strengths.

Hong Kong's unique position as a center for East-West cultural exchange will provide opportunities for collaboration and creativity for Vietnamese fashion designers.
