According to Insider, the "convenience store" is perched on a sheer cliff face in the Shiniuzhai National Geopark, Hunan Province, China.
The shop is constructed from a series of wooden planks supported by steel bars. It sells drinks and some snacks, including french fries, at affordable prices; a bottle of water costs only about 2 yuan (approximately 7,000 VND).

"The shop doesn't make much profit, but it's greatly appreciated by the hikers. So, we feel our work is very meaningful," said one employee. With limited space, the shop can only accommodate one person at a time. This employee is also responsible for restocking the shop every morning.
"The employees here must have very toned bodies climbing up and down this work platform every day," one Weibo user commented.
"Initially, the new employees were quite scared to work here, but they quickly got used to it. The only problem is using the restrooms. It's tiring having to climb down and up just to use the toilet, so we try not to drink too much water."
The shop staff sells equipment for mountaineers.
According to CCTV, the store opened in 2018 but is currently closed due to the Covid-19 outbreak in China. Shiniuzhai National Geopark is a popular scenic tourist destination in China, known for its sheer cliffs, waterfalls, and hiking trails.
