Chinese electric vehicle startup XPeng has unveiled a new generation of flying cars, a hybrid of cars and flying vehicles that can both run on the road and fly in the air. The flying cars are expected to hit the market by 2024.

Upon its launch, the project raised more than $500 million from investors, demonstrating the great potential of Chinese businesses in the technology sector.

According to TechCrunch, the car is capable of low-altitude flying, has many safety features and has a design that looks like a product from the future because it is equipped with aerodynamics, and the interior is completely high-tech. The driver will work with a transparent infotainment system and a digital screen integrated right on the steering wheel.

Những thiết kế tưởng chừng như chỉ có trong tương lai xa xôi, sẽ được thực hiện và phát triển chỉ trong vài năm tới.

Designs that seem like they only exist in the distant future will be realized and developed in just a few years.

What is special is that the car controller operates extremely flexibly, can change from a normal car shape to a flying car with two wings extended in just a few seconds. The car's two propellers will extend from both sides, allowing the car to take off and land vertically, at the same time, they will also be folded and retracted into the correct position in the cabin when the car is moving on the road.

Flying cars have attracted a lot of attention from automakers and startups, including General Motors, Toyota, and Hyundai - the "giants" in the race to produce electric flying vehicles. However, there are still many big challenges in developing and popularizing this type of vehicle, notably issues related to safety.

In addition to introducing the flying car project, XPeng also announced plans to launch the XPilot 3.5 driver assistance system, which uses dual cameras, LiDAR, and millimeter-wave radar sensors, early next year. In addition, the company also introduced the latest version of its advanced driver assistance system, called XPilot 4.0.
