The 2022 Equator Square Trailblazer Race is officially back!

With the message"Trailblazing the race, you're acing this game"Besides providing contestants with a practical environment to gain experience in Hotel and Restaurant management, Equator Square 2022 also offers students new values ​​in thinking, skills, and useful knowledge, especially the effort to break through their limitations through the competition rounds and reinvent themselves to improve on the upcoming "race".

ROUND 1 & 1.1: MEANDER

Time:From 8:00 PM on November 25, 2022 to 11:59 PM on December 6, 2022

• The knowledge covers the Hotel and Restaurant industry, focusing on three departments: Front Office (FO), Housekeeping (HK), and Food & Beverage (F&B).
• Candidates are allowed to take the exam a maximum of two times, and the highest score will be taken on a 25-point scale.
• The results of the preliminary round will select the TOP 100 contestants with the highest scores to advance to Round 1.2.
• The results will be announced by the organizing committee via email to the contestants.

• Young people in Ho Chi Minh City who are interested in the Hotel and Restaurant industry.
• Young people aged 18-22.

Workshop:Movers & Shakers
Content:

• The workshop focused primarily on direct training by the speaker for 200 students, including 20 contestants.
• The workshop will be divided into two parts: the first part will provide training on the Front Office (FO) department, and the second part will provide training on the Housekeeping (HK) department.

ROUND 3: TITLE-HOLDER

DThe final gala of the competition, where the TOP 6 most outstanding and confident contestants gathered.
Time: 29/12/2022
Location:Hall A.116, 59C Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street, Vo Thi Sau Ward, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City

***Round 3.1: Multiple Choice

• The top 6 contestants will be divided into 2 rounds (the order of the contestants will be arranged by the organizers), with 3 contestants in each round.
• Each round consists of 5 multiple-choice questions with 4 answer choices A, B, C, D, corresponding to different levels of difficulty: the first 2 questions are worth 10 points, the next 2 are worth 20 points, and the last question is worth 30 points.
• Each contestant earns the right to answer by raising a flag in their hand immediately after the MC finishes reading the question and counts down three times.
• The first contestant gets the chance to answer. If they answer incorrectly, the opportunity passes to the other two contestants. The second contestant gets the chance; if they answer correctly, the point for that question is credited to them. If they answer incorrectly, they move on to the next question.
• This process continues until both rounds of the competition are completed.
• Note: If a candidate raises their flag and does not answer within 5 seconds, they will lose their turn. Each question can only be answered once.

*** Round 3.2: DEBATE

Form:Debate competition in pairs
Content:The organizers will provide the contestants with three debate topics before the Gala night.

• Every topic will have its opponents and its supporters.
• Note: Candidates will only be informed of 3 exam topics in advance and will not know whether they will be debating on the opposing or supporting side.
• Contestants will draw lots to determine their pairings, the order in which each pair will compete, and the debate style (debate, argument, or counter-argument).
• Each pair of contestants will have 12 minutes to debate in turn.
• The opposing side will begin the debate first.
• After each debate, each judge will have two minutes to comment on each pair.
• Note: Only one judge will comment on each match.

BTC will total the scores from Round 3.1 and Round 3.2 to select the winner.TOP 3The best performing contestants advance to Round 3.3: Situation Handling.

*** Round 3.3: SITUATION HANDLING

Each contestant will take turns drawing a set of scenarios to solve directly in the form of a theatrical performance provided by the organizers (guest actors may be the judges or the organizers).

• In this round, the top 3 contestants will play the role of managers to solve a problem.
• Each scenario lasts a maximum of 10 minutes.
• After each situation, each judge will have 5 minutes to comment.
• Each judge will award points on a 100-point scale.
• The scores in the third round are ranked from highest to lowest, and the Champion, Runner-up, and Third Place winners are selected.
• The contestant with the highest total score will become the CHAMPION.
