Da Lat is a city famous for its nickname "the home of thousands of flowers", with all kinds from luxurious to noble. These days, everywhere from the hillsides, on every road filled with wild sunflowers has become a unique tourism product with strong attraction for visitors.

At other times of the year, on the hillsides or along the roads, the wild sunflowers lie so quietly that few people notice them. But now, that flower makes everyone surprised when the city seems to light up with the bright yellow color of the wild sunflower season.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Lang - a resident of Da Lat said: "Everyone loves wild sunflowers, their yellow color blends with the green leaves, it's wonderful."

Although it is known as the city of thousands of flowers, it is not clear why both locals and tourists still have a certain favor for wild sunflowers. That also explains why many people think that wild sunflowers have become an indispensable part of the lives of Da Lat people.
No one planted it, no one took care of it, but the wild sunflowers still live, still giving everyone their very own yellow color. Some people even say that the wild sunflowers are the symbol of Da Lat, helping everyone recognize the strong vitality of the mountains and forests behind the softness of those petals.
Artist Dang Ngoc Tran, who loves and has painted wild sunflowers, shared: “Its yellow color is very special. When it first blooms, it has a different yellow color, and when it matures, it is a different color. Wild sunflowers are like a person’s life. The flowers bloom until they wither and fall, and another flower will grow.”

On social networking sites, tourists who were lucky enough to visit Da Lat during the blooming season of wild sunflowers all shared their endless emotions when they walked on the wild sunflower roads. Da Lat tourism is flower tourism - that brand is further affirmed when just one wild flower is enough to attract tourists.
Mr. Vu Van Tu - Director of Lam Dong Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion said: "We have encouraged and planned to preserve wild sunflowers on the hillsides and roads around the city so that this becomes a real tourism product."
At the end of December, Da Lat will enter its most beautiful days with activities to announce the 2014 Central Highlands - Da Lat National Tourism Year, celebrate the 120th anniversary of Da Lat's formation and development, and the 5th Da Lat Flower Festival. Once again, Da Lat flowers will be honored..
