These days, not only tourists but also locals in Da Lat, Lam Dong province, are amazed by the dazzling beauty of this city on the plateau. It's the beauty of Da Lat during the season of wild sunflowers – a wild flower considered a symbol of the city of flowers.

Da Lat, famous for its nickname "the home of a thousand flowers," boasts a wide variety of flowers, from luxurious to elegant. These days, the hillsides and roads are covered in wild sunflowers, creating a unique and captivating tourist attraction.

At other times of the year, on the hillsides or along the roadsides, the wild sunflowers lie so quietly that few people notice them. Yet now, these flowers surprise everyone as the city seems to burst into the vibrant yellow of the wild sunflower season.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Lang, a resident of Da Lat, said: "Everyone loves wild sunflowers; their yellow color blends beautifully with the green leaves."

Despite being known as the city of a thousand flowers, both locals and tourists alike have a particular fondness for wild sunflowers. This explains why many people consider wild sunflowers an indispensable part of life in Da Lat.

No one plants them, no one cares for them, yet the wild sunflowers still live, still offer everyone their unique yellow color. Some even consider the wild sunflower a symbol of Da Lat, helping people recognize the vibrant life of the mountains and forests behind the delicate beauty of its petals.

Artist Dang Ngoc Tran, who loves and has painted pictures of wild sunflowers, shared: "Its yellow color is very special. When it first blooms, it's a different shade of yellow, and when it matures, it's different. Wild sunflowers are like a person's life. The flower blooms until it withers and falls, and another flower will grow."

On social media, tourists who have been lucky enough to visit Da Lat during the wild sunflower blooming season share their overwhelming emotions about traveling along the roads lined with these flowers. Da Lat tourism is synonymous with flower tourism – a brand further solidified by the fact that even a single wild flower is enough to captivate visitors.

Mr. Vu Van Tu, Director of the Lam Dong Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center, said: "We have encouraged and planned to preserve wild sunflowers on the hillsides and roads around the city so that they become a genuine tourism product."

In late December, Da Lat will enter its most beautiful days with activities such as the announcement of the 2014 National Tourism Year for the Central Highlands - Da Lat, the celebration of 120 years of Da Lat's formation and development, and the 5th Da Lat Flower Festival. Once again, Da Lat's flowers will be honored.
